valve float problems ?

when i rev my engine to the limit i get valve float will this damage anything and can i stop it ?

both when it happens the fuel and air comes back out the carb i dont mind it as it sounds cool like a rev limiter just wondering if it will bugger anything up its a ohv push rod engine and and makes 11hp at 9k

going up the gears hitting max rpm in each gear basically diving the crap out of it and full throttle starts rev right out then dump the clutch spin yah tires an of you go

All engines redline at some point. Would be indicated on tach and they mean it!!!

my mix is spot on when you get 19hp from 78cc and use it every day and drive it like you stole it you cant expect reliability 4 of times it went bang was from the big end bearing.

btw they did not all size most of the time i just changed them after they got scored up

moto cross bikes have a new piston every couple of races, think how hard that small engine has to work to make that sort of hp

Still, Thats alot of pistons! I agree what's your idle CHT and wide open and mix ratio.

i use 30 to one normal oil for the first 500 miles on a new piston then silkoline fully synthetic 30 to one

jr im sure if you drove yor dragster around everyday for 3 hours at wot i think you would have to change parts more often
