Nope- good guess though! April is correct, however.

So there was a month shorter than 21 days... *shrugs*
but we talk about month the way we still use them right?
Not some maya calendar stuff right? (Uayeb is just five days.. still considered a month of some sort)

I vaguely remember something about the introduction of the gregorian (modern) calender (could be what Sid's referring to) where ther was a week or two lost...

Yes. This month was shorter than 21 days and is still named exactly the same way it was then.

This page shows the switch form the Julian calender to the modern Gregorian calender caused the 2nd of September 1752 to be followed by the 14th of September in the UK, making the entire month last only 19 days

jupp,
and 1926 in turkey the December only had 18 days...
http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=1926&country=4

17 days for April 1916 in Bulgaria

February 1918 in Estonia and Russia
as well as
February 1923 in Greece only had 15 days

Nope- good guess though! April is correct, however.
the correct answer is April according to Doug,
so none of those fit in
(Bulgaria is an April, but February was shorter than that ;))

It must be a different reason.

You misunderstood that post. Originally there were 2 questions- Which is the second shortest month? - Which you answered correctly ( April-because of DST) hence " April is correct, however"......

The other question was what was the shortest month ever-which you answered incorrectly- hence - " No-but that was a good guess".......

I had a talk show going on in the background and only halfway caught this so I can't really say I can positively verify a correct answer. ....

But: How many countries does the U.S. NOT spy on and can you name them?
