This snake some how got imself into our empty Horse water trough.
Anybody know what he is?

I'm not sure either, but just do what I do,

IDK...I've never seen one like that. It's in the ratsnake/cornsnake family.

We got a video of it on the phone, he was mean and ****ed off. Hissing and striking at a stick I was using to try and help him out of the trough.
I did not poke at him (yet) he was wanting to fight right off.
He has no rattle on his tail but he sure was shaking the tip real fast.

So...long story...but..seems my beans are spoiled...so..I opened a can of pork and beans.

Now...I can eat these babies right out of the can...but I got some Aldi off brand ones that were just a bit tough...so I simmered them in bbq sauce. Oh yeah!

Anyway....decided to dump a can in a saucepan and add some Sweet Baby Rays to stew.

Well....stay with me now....

The FDA ruled that 'Pork and beans' was exempt from the policing policy that said you must list the main ingredient first in the description.

BUT!!!! You old timers remember when you used to find a treasured tiny piece of pork in that can?

IT AIN'T THERE!!!! Maybe a sliver in a dadgum 40,000 gallon vat or something... Ok...well maybe it doesn't have to overpower the beans... But dadgumit!!!! If it says it on the can....shouldn't it be IN IT?

It used to have pork. Then they switched it to some small clump of fatback swept up off the floor. If you tried to eat it you'd be left with a little tiny piece of pork that was never going to break down.
Maybe it's just best to make your own.

Just because I whine about the quality and content of a can of food that costs less than a half dollar...doesn't mean I want to make my own.

Crap...a pound of coffee is now 12oz. should I grow my own beans?

Have you ever heard the saying, that if you want something done right, you should do it yourself?
And hels yes, I make as much of my own stuff as I can. That is part of the art of living off grid. Making your own, and not running to town every half hour is a learned practice.

And yes, I'd grow my own coffee beans if I could.

You might be surprised at all the things I make myself.

And really, what do you expect from a 50 cent can of beans, a full buffet?
You get what you pay for.

So...my neighbor.. Knew my younger brother when they were illegally street racing.... He has 2 multi- drawer tool boxes..

He has a frigging lift... ( you know..like they drive on to change your oil?")

Anyway .. .. I go over because I need a flat head screwdriver. CI say: " Dang Ron .... I must own 20 of those..but I can't find one. " He opens up his screwdriver drawer and only has 2...ml he says; Tell me about it!

Soooo...anyway...back to BO BO HEAD.....errr...Sammy...

So I'm working on my truck....( nevermind I almost stepped on Sammy a few times...) (he REALLY DOES LOVE DADDY!).

Anyway... I needed some RTV.. so I got a neighbor to give me a ride... We got back...and I'm in his front yard and chatting while Sammy just HAS TO BE next to daddy...

I stop him before he can cross the road.

I go back to work on the truck....I hear someone doing a little beep beep horn tap.. Look up...some guy that lives at the end of the block...(I don't know him)... He's grinning ear to ear and Sammy is in the middle of the road...(and NOT moving!!!!) (that truck belongs on the street!)

Funny...this guy has a web by the porch light. A good place for sure. But...I hardly ever turn it on...and it burned out Halloween night.

I will replace the bulb and turn it on for a few hours each night just for him....
