Should have left the blood stains on....(gives it character) ....the cherry will take on a lot more personality with a light stain and a finish!

Cherry will also sunburn or darken over time....so you could put them in sunlight for awhile, but I recommend a thinned cherry or mahogany stain.

Ehh, wasnt too much bleed. I managed to shave a nice patch off my knuckle with the hand plane... The handle wasnt made for size large hands...

I cut another 2 sets to practice on. Same bland Cherry. However, to liven things up a bit I found a hunk of Beech that was bent at a 45* or so. I cut it open too see some nice dark color inside. I figure the curved grain would be good for making some grips.

Well...I'm not believing this crap. I made one batch of. nachos a few days ago...and the peppers were a bit under cooked and had a bitter taste. I assumed it was because they were freshly canned and not quite cooked.

So this morning..I'm adding a little more vinegar to some pigs feet I was cooking overnight and I noticed the bottle said "Cleaning Vinegar "!!! I didn't notice and this was the first time I heard of it. Now, checking, Heinz has a cleaning vinegar that's good for cooking or cleaning....also one for cleaning only.

Now....nowhere on this bottle does it say it's harmful to ingest, but it has chemicals and other crap in it...and even if it's ok to eat, it's probably what ruined my jalapenos!

I'm chunking them and the pigs feet and starting over!

Well the last batch of pig feet were delicious! I highly recommend both pig and chicken feet. Cooked properly...they are beyond delicious.

Soooo..gonna throw some chicken thighs in the leftover broth...thaw some more out and a whole chicken....and do old school BBQ chicken with the thighs and slow roasted chicken with the whole bird....

Just going to be dodging the weather to do it!!!!

Going to be watching the Players at TPC Sawgrass (a little, while doing a bunch of other stuff.)

Anyway, the opening shot showed the island green and it reminded me of when I played that course on a video game many years ago. Anyway, I was underclubbed and wound up hitting the foot bridge and bouncing on the green. It was so cool I tried to purposely recreate that shot every time I played that hole. Never happened.

But on a real course...there was a hole that I hit a putter off the tee. My partners were puzzled until they saw the results. I just tapped the ball over to the cartpath...and the ball rolled 300 yards down to a wedge distance from the hole...

Well...looks like the new baby ribbon snake may be eating.....fish are gone...and maybe a few tadpoles!

Trying to come up with a name for the little booger....leaning towards Remington.

Getting snakes to eat is sometimes a big deal. This beautiful little corn snake never ate...despite my best efforts....and died.

You would think it would be automatic...but a certain percentage of baby snakes just don't figure it out.

Yeah....you really have to play quite a bit of golf to enjoy watching it...because you don't realize what some of those shots mean without having attempted them.

Funny thing is...I was a very proficient and active basketball player until my brother threw a plate at me and severed tendons in my right wrist....only played football a couple of times....but I can't stand watching basketball...but loves my foosball (Waterboy reference) ....

But ....a guy that doesn't like any sports? Are you sure you have all the standard equipment down below?
