I'm thinking the water has less to do with the rain and more to do with the prostrate.

LOL it has to do with the horizontal position of the body? ;)

That actually is possible. The last time I got rain in my tent was because I was laying down, and my feet slid down to touch the edge of the tent. Then, rain started coming in. Prostrate problems! Being that it was 45 degrees outside, and I didn't want to stay wet, I just cut a hole in the bottom of the tent. Then my tent stakes pulled out because of the rain. So, I cut the window mesh open and restaked it from inside the tent. Sadly it was not a $25 walmart special. Looked like Freddy Krueger got after me in the morning.

In the future, don't ban Poboy, and don't leave the tent until AFTER the storm has passed....

( I don't have much hope for the former.)

I DO ACTUALLY have some HELPFUL advice: Really simple actually, ....take an empty milk jug in with you.

Meanwhile...I just got home from the Pulmonologist.

A lot more appointments and tests. IDK!

But think about this : I wish to H311 they knew what was wrong with me. One thing they did tell me is I have 65% lung capacity.

The pulmonologist prescribed a couple of inhalers. I was pretty excited to think I might have some help breathing, until Wal-Mart pharmacy called and said I had one prescription ready for pick up; total price: almost $400!

Even a check on GoodRx didn't help much.Spiriva is expensive and there are no generic or alternative meds that match for COPD.

So..as it sits now:

I have COPD, emphysema, and possible bacterial infection that is avoiding treatment because it's surrounded by scar tissue from the emphysema. Or Cancer. They want to do a CT with contrast...( I would have thought a Petscan.)

Said they might wind up doing a biopsy. They also want to do an echocardiogram on my heart.

What is wrong with me?

I haven't slept outside for a week. So this afternoon, I go out in the height of a thunderstorm to take a nap in the tent.

( It was NICE tho, ) ( I'm an outdoor kinda guy).

Well hopefully they find out what's wrong with ya. It's not fun being on tons of meds that may help, or do nothing at all. Same thing with my mom, probably the only one that knows exactly what was wrong with her would be the coroner...my dad has yet to pick up the full report. I could so go for a backyard camp out right now. It's a nice 50F right now, dang crickets would keep me up though.

Most of the meds I'm on are from the Cancer aftereffects. Don't get me wrong, that's no cakewalk, but, I don't think that's what's gonna kill me.

After 13 years in remission, I guess I shouldn't complain, but I know I'm less than 1/2 the man I used to be.

BTW: I came very close to a fistfight today..... A SOB left a shopping cart next to his door, in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and drove off...

Now...here's the worst part....

The shopping cart 'corral" was 15' away...( only the entrance, the end of it was 3' away!!!!!)

I said :"You LAZY MF!!" He said something back, but I couldn't hear what. He was too lazy to get out to get a butt whooping.

And the crazy broad in the passenger seat was your ex-wife's sister? You see stories embellished with crazy broads are far more compelling.

I hope somebody gets a tickle out of this:

The woman across the street is practically a workaholic. Single mom.... Anyway..

I go over, she's locked her kes in the house. I say; no problem, I I'll just break in.

I tell her... You'll be in in 5 mins.

Soooo.... Here's where it gets funny...(sorta),.. She says: "How drunk are you?"

Me...being the honest soul I am...says... about as much as humanly possible.

She says: ( and this is the part thats GOLDEN!) is: "We'll be here all day!)

So... Naturally, I credit carded her front door in under a minute, and she was happy and on her way to work.

That's too funny. Thought that trick only worked on bedroom doors...my brother used debit cards to unlock his door when I was a 5 year old and locked him out of his room.

Soooo...the pulmonologist calls, and the results of the CAT scan I took yesterday are in. (Sorta). The mass in my left lung is looking "a little better."

However, now they are looking at another area of my lung, and she gave me a choice: do a biopsy immediately, or another CAT scan in 3 months.

( You should never give a procrastinator those kinds of choices!) 3 guesses what I'm doing....( and the first 2 don't count!!!!)

It could be from emphysema, biological infection from the pneumonia, possibly some scarring side effects from the radiation I received from my Caner treatment, or the big C itself.

A biopsy is the most definitive way to tell, but comes with quite a few risks.

Good news is I picked up that $388 prescription for $20.

BTW: I haven't tried that stuff yet. It's really strange...it's like a plastic crack pipe without the heat. You take a capsule out of a foil pack, put in the "inhaler", and you punch a button that pierces the capsule, then take two hits off it, (emptying your lungs and then filling them back up.

Apparently, the inside of those capsules react to air.

As a fellow procrastinator you decided to wait 3 months and hoped for the best. Those $388 better be laced with gold at that price, least you got them at a huge discount.

I didn't have work today, because of all things it decided to snow. Been to several places the past 2 weeks for fertilizing, and the home owners planted flowers. Well guess what? They are probably dead. Here in the Midwest, you should wait to at least May before you plant, just in case we get a freak snowfall. Oh well not my money lol. Long as this weekend goes right, I might get getting a fun weekend project, just praying it wasn't sold.

Well, only 76° f today, ( was like 94 a day or 2 ago.) But, the east side of DFW got HAMMERED! We only got like 40 mph + winds...( as the cold front came in.),,, but over towards Dalls, they got golfball sized hail....( Uh oh....better get Maaco!)

Went down in the 50's overnight, but we're on a warming trend, but I hear colder weather is on the way.

I need to do a TON of lawn and garden stuff, but I just haven't felt too well.

On another note, Friday, my right leg hurt me so bad, I went to the "Emergency Room". ( If I've told this story before, I apologize.) ....but from Friday to Monday, I drank 3.5 liters of bourbon. That will make things fuzzy.

Anyway, I didn't wind up in the "REAL" ER. ( I think it was a psych ward or something. After an hour with the druggies and the crazies, I just went back home.

(And YES! by taxi...both ways) I had drank a LOT of bourbon trying to kill the pain....( Don't drink and drive)

Sooo....that's what set off that insane weekend binge. My leg feels much better now, ( but I can still feel the pinched nerve in my lower back.)

It was a STUPID thing to do, ( excessive drinking)but I don't know if I really had another choice.

The worst thing is didn't help much. I was in so much pain, I couldn't even pass out!

Worst pain I've ever had was from my broken jaw, which is still crooked to this day. So I can only remotely imagine what you're going through. Hope something can help out that doesn't lead to a demise.
