r97, you should convert your trike! just get another wheel and axle from what i see?

looks like youd get alot better control.

thats what i did tonight. i hate the rear end of my scorpion so today i just ripped it off... i need the axle and hub for my off road mini bike and thought if i need to get another axle then why not just make it 4 wheels.

well i am kinda converting it, re-doing it would be a better explanation. i would just add an axle and wheel, but i want more of a project, and the kart has plenty of other problems that i would need to fix. i will get a much better final product making a new frame.

i'm going to buy an axle, and another wheel, then build a new frame and transfer all the parts from my "scorpion" to the new frame.
the frame will be built like a race kart frame, wide track width, short wheel base, good weight distribution, engine to your right, proper steering geometry, and low to the ground.
all that will improve handling a ton, make it about 10X more stable, provide me with a challenging project for less $$$, and i'm going to make it a wee bit faster to :D

like this VVVVVVV

:cheers2:

I like the turf tires better. Then try to find some taller but not to wide mower tires for the front. Can you add larger front tires without hitting anything?

Do you have that wider axle you got from me? That would look slick in there.

yep , still have the axle. Thats being saved for the next build. Cody's
I dont think any other tire would work in front, I have something like 1/2 to 3/4 clearance from the tire to the fender. Wider might work, just not taller.

Turf tires ... you mean the ones that are original ?

The ones on the white wheels. If you could remove the fenders a small trailer tires would look cool on the front with the white wheel tires. Give it that dragster/roadster look.

Just saying, I like it anyway you chose. Just not the big ones.

Very cool ! This seems to have corrected the roll over situations lol,My preference would be to put a set of these on the front..

They are 16X8X7 ... Then I would put your 22"on the back , only thing is the other rear tires you used 18" ? 20 " ? had a better gear ratio and it seemed to pull better .Mayby you could find a set like my rear ones ?

sure, big, those are atv dirt track racing tires for tracks that have compact dirt. dirt slicks per say. at least thats what was in the description when I bought them.
I think they can be used for ice tracks also because they have these holes in the tread that looks like they are for spikes.

wow 88 those things have some meat !!!

Ya Tman they do , I just think you`d be better with a slightly larger tire on the front and your next size up rear tires you have .Them are the tires I`m using on my kart but I`m the one that likes 600cc engine and lottsa MuD !! I got mine for $ 150 new with the rims ,.

Mmmm mud ... I need to get some fenders on this.

big: for Codys kart I would like to get some 15's like whats on the trike/quad. Do you have rims also that would fit the 1" axle ?
