YIKES!!!!
That's KILLER AWESOME!
But I have read that 2 strokes are prone to expensive failures.
But hey, 20+ HP at ~15K RPM?
I'd take it too!
And yes, that thing'd pass any clone or Briggs like it was standing still.
Only way I could see to make it faster would be to make it a shifter, but I can't think of any conceivable way to convert a standard 2 stroke to a shifter.
It has 8.8:1 gearing at the moment , and with the tires on it , it will do just short of 70 mph topped out .
Failures are not that common unless you really screw something up , usually due to fueling or timing . The engine has been rebuild from bottom up , i gave it a check over and its got plenty of life left .
48.3mm bore x 50mm stroke gives you 91,7cc of displacement , with a static compression ratio of close to 17:1 , it does pack a punch .
A slide style diaphragm carburetor would be ideal for extra top end , but since i dont plan on racing the thing , the current tillotson HL332A5 setup should do .
