what parts for the engine are you waiting on?
The only problem I can see with the tank is if one of the support rods get bent the whole thing may fold like a house of cards. Can you mount it any lower? if not, I'd add some supports/bracing
Re: The brake pushrod. Try welding a nut to the end of the bar so you can put a pin through it & the bracket. Good idea on the support though![]()
Yea, I haven't finished guys. I wanted to make sure I liked it before I went any further.
Ah, gotcha. I'm assuming you've measured how high the engine will sit & you can't mount it any lower...

the engine is about half an inch from the frame. Why?
I bet that this cart can break a 100mph if you can get it out of 1st gear, and the engine is tuned up and running 7,000 rpm or higher (nothing for the 250R). Recent experience with my gear ratio determined that bigger rear sprocket is the way to get uphill and start rolling. Don't be surprised if you need a rolling start from your pit crew before you dump that heavy clutch. Then HOLD ON!!!!

I,too,visited the tire guy,here in OKC. I also looked down,and got 3 pairs of spindles,a couple dozen axle bearings,6 straight axles,and picked out 10 pairs of his 11-6.00-5 tires.They were all new-never mounted..and-like you-I"m now hunting for 5 inch rims..He didnt have any skinny slicks left..Want to trade,for a pair?? I need 6 inch wide,for my grand son"s Go-Kart 400 jr.,I"m building..
