as for as your exhaust why didn't you just rearrange the pipes instead of using that flex pip? that way the combustion chamber would of been closer! you might of said why but don't want to read through all those post again!

I was trying to get it to fit good on the kart. I didn't know all those things about an expansion chamber till now.

I put the front wheels on yesterday and did a test pedal for the brakes today. I have to get a shifter pin? idk what it's called but it makes the shifter stay in place. Once I get that I can mount the motor back on and work on the clutch wire mounts.

Oh ok, so I built my shifter alittle different than how you did you. I placed my shifter on the left because the right was alittle cluttered and i would probably hit my hand on the motor. I seen how you did your shifter did you modify that at all or is it the same way?

Man, as soon as I find a track around here that lets custom karts on I am 100% sure I'm making one of these with a cr500 engine that I know of.

It's really hot today in Oklahoma and my lens was fogging up,sorry for this bad shot:

Brake system:

Engine is currently off due to fixing a part. The front wheels arn't tightened all the way yet since I don't have a deep 1 inch socket.

Feel free to ask any questions

Also, does anybody know if it will hurt the engine if I start it off the stator?

thanks
SJ

same here, there is a track locally but I don't know if they will let me ride. I've heard that the drag strip will let me run if i have a chain guard and it's safe of course. I'd like to see what it runs in the quarter...

**** that looks nice dude, the chain 428 or 520?

its a 520 split sprocket and a #520 chain. When I get home ill post the website I used. Its got 25 teeth I believe. The website is mentioned in this thread if you'd like to look for it.

Stephen, do you do photography as a hobby? Your pics are really good

yes, I have 5 years of film under my belt and one year of film in college done. Photos are just a hobby right now unless I find a way to make money. They both go hand in hand.

gas tank, I still need to make a holder for it. Im going gravity feed so I don't have to run a pump

so your carb does not have a built in pump in it? i figured that it would, i might be wrong though!
