When I was 5 dial-up meant you dialed someone up and talked to them. You were free to roam around the house as far as the coiled wire running from the phone to the receiver would allow.

Not sure back then but I know in the 1990s you could get longer cords than what came with the phone.

Yeah....and the phones had round dials...my grandma even had one you had to crank...and was on a party line....

When I was 5...color TV was a big deal....but most shows were still black and white.

When I was 6...my father died and JFK was assassinated.....around that time...(not sure on my exact age)....but I remember being in a Western Auto store and seeing the astronauts land on the moon...
