Well like mounting tires, putting on the steering wheel, non dirty stuff-I'll do it the house. I have a VERY understanding wife of 18 yrs. We,ve been through it all trust me on that one. Here's something funny though---on my last rebuild of the margay new breed I did last year, I was wire wheeling some of the frame rails and oh yeah they were flying everywhere, all 4 of my kids and wife and I were stepping on those dang wires in the carpet for months:furious2: :censored: SO now I take it outside most of the time:Angel_anim: Thanks guys-bring yours on over and lets make them shine.

You aren't going to get one in the eye IF you don't have your face right over the wheel. I forget how many I pulled out of my I'm a boy area. Like that one would of hurt if I didn't have my coveralls on.

Got the kart back from the upholsterer yesterday and I am not that happy with the back part of the seat wrippling like that. I think I'll make him redo it. What you all think?

I paid $150 to have it done just like the original one EXCEPT it isn't just like the original one.

It isn't even the same design as the original one, I think you definitely need to have a talk with your... seat sewer person...

Well it's finally done. All new old school race kart. Anybody got another old one to restore? I decided to put a dual caliper on the rear axle for the ultimate stopping power-not that I will use them.

This build went a little easier than the last vintage kart because I didn't have to wait months for the parts to show up on ebay or other sites. I love restoring these old karts and would do it as a job if I could. It's addicting. I've met so many good people in many states along the way that help out any chance they get. It's best not to keep track of the money you spend on them because it's all about the satisfaction in the end.
