45 is plenty haha, in bike form mine topped out at around 55 so in kart form i'm guessing no more than 40 but it has a lot of torque since its a 4 stroke. Where you you putting your clutch? I can't decide between shifter or pedal.

well i had it on what would have been the break and i think its good ther becuse you still have 2 hands so controll and i use it for drifting i havent got a break on mine atm i use the gears to slow down my top speed of 45 is actually a pain in the *** becuse its dont take long to get to 40 and you have to **** up 5 gears lol and im not making good use of the lower geers

Yea i have 6 gears, and neutral is very touchy, its like 1mm off first to get into it, so i guess ill have fun. I made a clutch pedal, that was right next to the break, and linked to it so that when the break is pressed the clutch is too, but then i rethought it.

Best idea would be to use the existing brake pedal (left) as the clutch, and put a new brake pedal to the left of the throttle.

You should have clutch on the left, brake and throttle on the right (unless you have a hand clutch on the gear lever)

yesterday i was thinking how i could make flapy paddles lol

Flappy Paddles are easy peasy. Use a linear solenoid from a pinball machine or a remote door opening system. wire up some switches and soem sort of paddle mechanism to actuate the switches... Thats what im going to do on my shifter kart.

And then when you have to put it in neutral, which is between first and second...

It has been tried, and getting it to go into neutral is always difficult.

Good luck

here are the latest pictures i would say is is 60 percent finished

i have found a much easer way to change up the gears i just press the kill switch

i also moved the shifter near the steering wheel via a linkage

its relay fun to drive i can do donuts on the spot in 3r gear and its drifts real nice

i am thining about changing the exhaust it attracts allot of attention good and bad and it hurts your ears

i also need to change the gearing i can top it out in last gear up a hill i think its doing about 40 45 i would like it to do about 50 60 but i think i need a break first !!

and now for the pictures.....

i tried to make video of it back firing i will ty to get some vidoes of it drifting etc in daylight

i need to make anew seat as this one had had it i was thinking about making one from sheet aluminum and i need some tires the dread has gone down 2 mm just from today

please coment what you think, questions etc.......

I finished mine, it took me around 40 hours or so all together and it has tons of torque. I was also thinking that the gearing is way off, mine tops out at around 40mph and im sure if i had the right rear sprocket i could go over 70. I did check around for a new rear sprocket, i figure around a 20 tooth would be perfect but i cant find one for a 428 chain, all i can find are 41 tooth and 13 tooth sprockets for the engine.

I found some 22-30 tooth sprockets for a 40mm axle, the only problem is that i have a 1 inch axle, it was really cheap (like $20) so im probably going to buy a 22 tooth anyways and try to make some spacers to get the diameter down.
