Well, they don't really have any classes at CFRC yet anyway, the only races they've had so far are for rental karts. Andre (the owner of the kart track) said my kart will be able to run there as long as it's safe, but he hasn't seen it yet. I hope to be ready to take it to the road course in the next week or two, need some fresh tires and alignment.

How will you press the clutch and brake at the same time? i set mine up like this

C I B G

A clutch brake is dumb in my opinion, it will be a pain in the arse to get it to work right, since i bet you anything your clutch and brake pedals will have different amounts of travel.

Sorry rick, i'll stop hijacking your thread haha, im great at getting off topic.

But with a car you use your left foot for clutch while your right foot takes care of braking and gas..... think buddy think!

the thing is, and I didnt want the cat out of hte bag, so i;ll be as vague as possible...I want my pedal setups as much as a car. so I may just do the gas and brake on the right side, and the clutch on the left. it will need some getting used to...

Dude in a car, clutch is on the left, and brake and gas on the right, the clutch is primarily controlled by your left foot, brake and gas are controlled with your right foot. Ebay would be the place to get an expansion chamber, it must be specifically for your engine tho, you cant just use one similar. Making one is not easy, i dont think your up to the task (no offense).

There are programs for designing expansion chambers, but you need to know ALL the intimate details about your motor, and the meaning of quite a few scientific terms as well, so yeah, it would probably make your head explode. :D

I checked out the CFRC site, looks like an awsome track layout there Rick. Pretty cool they let you guys run your own karts. So you'll be racing against who ever else brought their own kart, in kind of an open "run what ya brung" type class meyby?

What brand/model tires are ya thinking about trying?
Hey was your kart setup for dirt oval racing when you bought it? (kinda looks like you got 10" x 6" rims on the back there, this size isn't usualy ran on pavement racers)

I've been setting my tow about a 1/16"-in. (should get ya in the ball park anyway) Does your kart have adjustable caster/camber?
