yes. sorry i believe that it is called a freewheel not a flywheel.

ex. when on a bicycle you can pedal backwards without making the back wheel rotate backward. This is a freewheel.

i'm using something like this but for my back wheel assembly

The reason i'm using this is just so when i back up it wont turn the sprocket/chain setup.

NOW.

does anyone know how to make it free wheel the opposite way that it is now?

and thanks for the design compliment

i know but with the rear wheel assembly that i have, the sprocket is bolted on to the freewheel and the freewheel engages going the wrong way i need to take it off or reverse it. ANY HELP/IDEAS!?

I am totally unfamiliar with this 'freewheel' business but I do understand it.
Can wheel be totally disassembled? I'm thinking that if it does come apart it may be possible to just flip it around (the free wheeling part of it) and then re-assembled.
Do you perchance have a part number for this wheel?

I have alot of experince with pedel bikes. On a bycycle you cant turn the free wheel around because it threads onto the rim on only one side of the cassette/freewheel.

I hear you and I completely agree...however, being this appears to be a specialized pocket bike wheel, it seems likely to me that it just may be reversible. The wheel in question is setup for right hand drive. There may be one available that is left hand drive. If not, then he will have to find a way to lock it up permanently (weld?) or resort to a jackshaft.
