I actually used just regular acrylic paint and brush. I put a bolt in the vice and then put the wheel on the bolt, then spun the wheel around while I painted it to get a nice clean circle. I looks nice I think, because it's a dull finish like rubber should be.

yeah, that throttle that's on there now is just for testing, I have the one that is going to go on there I just haven't hooked it up yet, then I'll find a way to hide it.

sorry, didn't see this until now:
cboy: unfortunately, I made the seat. It's really easy though. It's just a plank of ply wood for the base, then I cut out two 2" chunks of foam, using the plywood as a template. I then used some spray adhesive to keep it all together. I got some pleather stuff from a fabric store, and played with it to see how I liked it. Turned out pretty good.

That is awesome, I wish they still had stuff like that in the back of popular mechanics and stuff, or I wish I could just call the number or whatever and order one (all the unsold kits had to go somewhere right?).

Some modifications to the wagon.

I didn't like the empty space under the tub, so I am going to enclose it with plastic and line the inside with felt to make a "trunk" section. Access to said "trunk" via three hinges on the back of the wagon tub, along with the second version of a steering column coupler that I made. Coupler was needed so the handle bars and 3/4 of the steering column would rise with the tub, and the other half would stay at the bottom, connected to the tie rods, spindles, etc. Rerouted brake cable and throttle wire. On the hunt for some gas springs like in the trunk of your car to assist in the lifting of the tub. Mods took approx. 8 hours...

Genius man, genius. You have some real talenf. I really like the idea of the steering coupler you made. Can you clip them together when you put the tub down? Why I am asking is that if you go over a bump, your steering column might jump out the coupler, leaving you with nothing to steer

Yeah, there will be a latch that holds the tub down, then when you want to open it, you just pull on the latch and it pops up, just like the trunk of a car.
And thanks for calling me a genius!! Thats always a nice thing to hear.

Gas struts from picknpull nissian pathfinder rear window glass, installed. Needs a little help getting up, but once it's there it stays by itself.
