I've wanted a bobbed 5 ton for years. I'll probably never get one just because it's just a toy and my practical side realizes that I would need lots of disposable income to maintain one. Besides, now that I have rediscovered karts and can tinker with these engines for next to nothing, my need for toys is being satisfied. I feel bad for my Harley restoration project... it has taken a back seat and I really need to get back into it.

My ST2 project has been kind of back burnered off and on for the last 6 years. And my VW Sandrail project has been back burnered for nearly as long. Just comes with the territory of having hobbies.

30,000 miles in 50 years? Bet there is more this story.
Possibly. However the title would know for sure if its accurate. But they still have a TON of aftermarket support. Curious what under the vehicle looks like though. Probably only has the TH350. But could easily drop in a 700R4 in its place or 4L60E with very few mods.

So this is kind of up my price range, have the cash for it. Idk trash or smash? Its down the road from me.

As you can imagine I owned a SS454 version (last year they offered it) for almost 20 years. Before my EX-wife gave it away without my knowledge. They are great vehicles and ride fantastic. But they can only haul about 500 pounds in the bed comfortably. Check floors and smugglers box for rust. Door bottoms and fender bottoms are very bad also along with bed crossmembers and body mounts.

Any question just ask. I’ve owned around 1,000 of them in various stages of repair and disrepair 73-77 Chevelle, ElCamino, Wagon. Every color combo and option! Yea, I have a problem.

Part that bugs me is, I sent the link to my brother yesterday, who was born in '75, just because I was looking at it. Now he wants me to look at it...for him. Older siblings just can't take a hint at times. Guess that's what I get for being 16 years younger.
