Since I'm visiting my dad here in Minnesota for a bit, decided to start up my Blaster. Took a bit to get it going. Still leaks oil from the shutoff switch,it pops a bit. Thinking it may need a top end rebuild at some point, since I doubt it was ever done. Part of me feels like it was an impulse buy, but oh well. Still fun to mess around with. May end up selling it.

It's kind of funny that you mentioned the Banshee. I've been looking for one in my area. I do have another one of the banshee's brothers, the Warrior.

Well...if you really wanted too, you could just build one from scratch. With the Banshee being so popular, you could buy all OEM or Aftermarket parts and build one up. Extended swing arm, wider axles, longer A-arms, full engine. Sure you might spend a lot more, but it would be 100% yours. On top of that, you could stretch it out over the course of several years to have one of your own.

Johnny Cash financing...one piece at a time.

It's worth it. It's how I'm buying parts for my eventual build. Just getting the okay from wifey is easier said than done. A way I may find the project is buy putting money into CDs (certificates of deposit). Its like a savings account, but better interest rates. Just don't touch the money, otherwise you wont see the full benefits of compound interest.

Got my car back last night...looks like it never happened. The shop did an outstanding job!

I also was able to upgrade the exhaust for just a little out of pocket expense, and boy oh boy was it worth it. Let's just say it's loud enough to make the neighbors not like me any more (they don't already LOL). For a v6 it sounds awesome. It increased backpressure so it gives it a little more "oomph". Not terribly loud driving around but once the RPM gets up over ~4000 it screams :D my gas mileage is going to go down for a few weeks now ;)

Only issue I see with it is it drones slightly at about 1600-2100 rpm, but I'll get used to it. I asked the company who makes it before buying and they said there wasn't much drone, but more than I'd like. I guess that's just how it is, as the 3.6l Pentastar is known for droning sometimes. It's worth it when you get revved up though. Just cruising on the highway though you don't have any drone at all.

As long as you do not get an exhaust tick you should be fine. Certain models of the 3.6L have an issue with the exhaust cam lobes wearing out from the rockers. Have one at work getting a new cam and rockers on the passenger side.

Good info there, I have not heard of that. What mileage does that usually happen? I'm at about 27k right now.

The truck that it has happened to is a 2017 with only 17,000 miles. I'll have to look at the TSB, it may only affect trucks and not cars. But it probably doesn't help that the truck has 35" mud tires and stock 3.21:1 differential gearing. It was a trade in.

My brother loves cichlids. He used to have a lot of Julies, but he got too busy with school so they were I think flushed or sold.

Hope to find out within the next few days of we'll be approved for our new apartment. Its smaller than our current one, but it's closer to our jobs. On top of that, its on a 9 hole golf course. I'm not much of a golfer, I just play it for the fun of it and I don't take it serious enough. A benefit to this place, we'd get plus our guests would get a 50% discount for golfing.

I'm just looking more forward to getting to work easier and coming home to eat. Been looking for vehicles for us, kind of sucks. Car sales are dropping nationwide, so we are not getting that much business. Plus, all the vehicles we get on trade-in are at the extremes...either excellent condition, or complete basket case.

Edit: It is currently 6:07pm Central Time. At around 5:35pm today we had a small wall cloud come over our apartment, been hunkered down in our bathroom for about a half hour now. Sirens went off at around 5:27pm and went off a bit after. Went outside to see a small rotating wall cloud. Ran back inside. Few minutes later stuff got a bit real. Heavy rain, winds, hail. No sign of a funnel, won't know much for a little bit. Co-worker (dirt track racer) got golf ball size hail (the irony from before), and wind tore his our door furniture apart and his flag pole.

We are all safe (wife, cat and myself). Probably very little carnage here I'll wager. Only the 2nd time in my 26 years of life have I been near a tornado. Exciting and scary at the same time.

Just did a 100k mile tune up on my 2011 Ford Fusion 3.0.
I hope the car dies before 200k miles.

It wouldn't Have taken 5 hours if I knew what I was doing, but I refuse to pay anybody $500+ to change my spark plugs. F U Ford for hiding pointless connectors made to make my life miserable.
The hose on the PCV valve was impossible. Random wires wrapped in tin foil zip tied to a body trim clip are pointless.

Anyway it’s done. And I hope I never do it again.

Hey Bob, I feel ya. Dang cars nowadays are designed to be put together, then thrown away. Isn't everything in today's society?

I grew up with deposit glass soda bottles. Then there were throw away plastic bottles. Now, RECYCLING is a big deal, HUH? People are stupid.

Unfortunately, I do not have any tips or tricks on tune ups on the Ford Fusion of any year...even though they are do at around that time, my boss doesn't allow us to do schedules maintenance on any vehicle regardless of brand. If it's not misfiring, the problem doesn't exist.

I agree. There used to be more incentive to recycling, now they have to make it just about mandatory for it to happen. When I lived in a part of Eau Claire, Wisconsinx we had to recycle just about everything and that got confusing. So I just got large trash bags and tossed it when I got back to my parents place in Minnesota. Though apparently scientists just found a way to make a more recyclable and biodegradable plastic.
