Been thinking about starting to work this kart some. Its come a ways from this picture, the frame has been reinforced, and a 11hp briggs flatty has been bolted down.

Id like to use a cvt, but as far as I know 40 series cvt dont come with any sort of backplate... I need to know the distance between the driver and driven.

Anybody happen to know this dimension?

It has more to do with the belt you get and which driven, either the 44 driven or 40, as well as the driver.

In other news my clutch is finally changed. Along with the synchronizers, seals, and fluid.

So the other day, got roped into watching Tiger King on Netflix. They released an 8th episode at some point recently. Not a bad series, but different that's for sure.

Welp my sprocket came in from OMBWarehouse that I ordered from Amazon. 12 tooth 420 pitch 3/4" bore. Just a couple more sprockets to order at this point.

Gotta new predator. Can't wait till I get it mounted.

Should I do a gov delete? What springs should I go with?

18 lb springs go well with the governor delete.

Some will say you need an upgraded rod and flywheel if doing this. I was fine without them, but I recommend you be safe and upgrade. It'd suck to blow a new engine.

I don't even know if the Predator 173cc has a remote throttle control capability. So its probably a fixed rpm engine, meaning governor delete will probably be more of a detriment while mowing. Curious to know how well it holds up for mowing as is.

It has an actual throttle adjust. I had to add a throttle lever.

Took the sump cover off so I could drill the mounting holes. So here's a pic of the insides too.

So 5 hours into a bolt on conversion. Lol.
Added gas and oil. Pump the primer 3 times and first pull she fired right up.

So, did anyone notice that the Predator 670 is $669.99 now? Talk about a heavy discount. Looks like they have a $130 discount for online or in store use. Man if I had a house right now, I might be tempted to pick one up just for s and g's.

I hear ya, my entire turbo v-twin kart build including clutch, frame, ect costed less that the entry price of the 670 motor alone.

Then people on YouTube throw another 1k in hop up parts at them...

So many good US made twins get scrapped each year, what a shame

Don't forget Revenge of the 5th! :roflol:

Because a lot of Star Wars games were on sale, I ended up with the 2004 and 2005 Star Wars Battlefronts, NOT the EA versions. I gotta say, I'm impressed by 15 year old games! I had kinda assumed that 2005 was still Sopwith and Super Mario Bros! I guess it's not hard to tell that I don't play a ton of games. :cornut:

Also, we finally started buying my welding gear! :wai:
