Best ( and probably ) the only home made pedals I have ever seen. Burning that midnight oil stuff really paid off. It looks great.

I'm really not sure WHAT that contraption is. Way to complicated!
My old sim pedals. Theyre not the hunk of crap they look to be.

The door closer on the brake houses a 200kg loadcell. Clutch houses an arrangement of dry lubed elastomers and springs to simulate a digressive feel. The throttle was measured right from the TPS, not the one that came on the throttle body. Vibration motors and bass shakers to simulate different haptics. Seating position, pedal travel and degree of rotation, pressures needed to fully depress made to match my 300zx.

Sadly I had to ditch those and upgrade to a more 'professional' grade of pedals. Well, a copy of a professional set...

Sorry to steer this off topic so much, ill leave it now.

I did not understand a word you said. And I’m ok with that!

Meanwhile back in the Lab...
So this donor has EFI, which is way cool. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I screwed with throttle body injection.
I recall vaguely the fuel pressure to be somewhat more than carbs. That brings up the question. What is the operation fuel pressure of a Yamaha EFI system? There is an in tank fuel pump that I can no longer use. I need to find a suitable pump for the transplant.
WTR?

Why can’t you use the in tank fuel pump? You need to build a fuel tank anyway, just make the fuel pump fit it. It’s a lot cheaper than buying a high pressure pump. And all the components will be compatible too ( lines and regulator). Let that inner cheapskate back out there buddy!

Im with Denny, try to reuse as much as possible. It all ran as is. just transplant it all
Thats the plan, but the fuel pump is mounted on a 3 inch round plate/plug that is held in place on the bottom of the gas tank by 8 screws and a rubber gasket. It just reeks of trouble like leaks. I won't tolerate any fuel leak no matter how small. I hope to use a regular 'ol fuel cell. Cutting a 3 inch hole in it....don't think so.
I take a pic next time I head over to the shop.
The engine without the bike is an ugly pile. I need to come up with a better looking air box. it that big ugly black dome lookin thing on top.
For now.

So all this shyt has to go in the tank. I thought about just dropping in in a cell and run the wires out so the cap holds it all in place.
I used an external pump when i swapped the TBI unit, Gotta see if i can find that part number again. I wasn't even expensive, oh wait that was 25 years ago.

Hack, I know you're up to it, but it looks like you're going to have more electrical fun than some of the guys with the Chinese buggies. At least having it in running condition you know the starting point of each wire and hose. I couldn't agree more with your statement that as it sits now, that is one Ugly engine. Is it water cooled as well?

OOHH for the good old days of a Triumph, Matchless, or BSA 650 twin. Amahal
Carburaters, Lucas magnito , and a kick starter. Almost as simple and self contained as a predator 212.
