Well it's fall, colder weather and it rains almost every week. Time to put my current project on hold, which is a car needing to be painted.
It all started with a trampoline and a Toro OHV engine on a busted mower.
So far this cart has cost me only a few dollars in nuts and bolts and various pieces of metal.
I used almost everything off the mower. Cables, pulleys, springs, transmission, etc.
The frame is all trampoline, yes, galvanized steel.
Today I just finished getting the power to the axle by way of a vertical shaft belt pulley clutch thing-a-ma-bob, just look at the second picture.
I plan on building a roll cage out of the trampoline that made up the circle, it has the perfect arch for it to clear my head.
The front suspension is more of an adjustable more than for smooth riding. I don't plan on having shocks, but more to adjust the height for off road and on road use.
Lowered for better steering, higher almost 6 inches higher, for clearance.
I might actually build it to be a fixed setup, it doesnt seem all that strong.
The front wheels i plan on using these tires:

The rears probably these:http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=37767
The brake, the big round drum on the axle in pic 2 is actually the blade stop for the mower, it's like a drum/disc brake hybrid.
Anyway, today I had it running, at idle I estimated it to be moving at about 3mph. At half throttle it was booking, Im probably looking at excess of 20mph. Kind of scary considering how crappy it is.
