Predator 212 muffler

Anybody know how to make a decent sounding DIY muffler for a predator 212?

I know I did one day.. and came up with something similar... Also out of EMT...

I already had this so it was free. I assume the average person isn's a junk hoarder like me and will just buy one.

The title above says DIY... Usually that means... Were all junk hoarders... Of some sort...

I started with a header pipe, but sectioned it and added a pipe fitting that allows me to screw on a 13HP 'sausage' muffler.

The muffler sounds better than stock, but not as loud as the pipe alone.

BTW, I also did the other stage 1 mods, a better flowing air cleaner and jet (not shown in photo)

Thanks! If my engine has less horsepower is it okay to use a higher horsepower muffler? I'd assume so but I want to make sure

Using a muffler from a bigger engine(heck, even a car muffler) is a good way to keep power high while muffling. So yeah, no problems there.

Do you guys think this would do well? I'd like to keep it as quiet as possible because of sensitive neighbors. Predator 212 I realize it's big but I'm hoping that will keep it quiet

Bigger question is(pardon the pun... ) Do you have space for it and the bracketry to support it properly......

I can fit it but how you you recommend supporting it like are there certain brackets I should get or would Jerry rigging be fine

However to get it done... remember if the motor needs to be moved for tensioning of a chain... the exhaust needs to be allow to move aswell, if supported along its length from the motor attached to the frame( like in a car, with rubber mounts).

Some have made mounts that attach to the valve cover bolt or a bracket attached to the PTO mount... Even from the top brackets with those without a gas tank installed...

That's the bike I've got to move the vertical part of the frame forward a tad to fit the predator. Think I could do some sort of bolting system where a brace comes off the muffler and bolts to the frame? And if I have to take it off I'd just take the bolt out?

Mower mufflers flow and sound like garbage.

Grab a china scooter/dirtbike muffler off ebay. They have a great deep tone. Can get them for 10$ shipped. Just takes awhile! lol
