I ran the hemi and the non hemi on the dyno last night. Bone stock. They have different torque curves, but make the same horsepower, and have the same inertia values. Non-hemi makes more torque down low in the 2000 rpm range, and the hemi makes a more broad power band.
Governor bypass (held open) and governor intact (no throttle stop).
bypassed governor hemi started floating the valves around 5200 rpm.
bypassed governor non-hemi floated valves at a higher rpm than that. cant remember off the top of my head.
hemi revs to 5200 rpm with the governor intact and "functional" under full load
non hemi revs to 4300-4500 with the governor intact and "functional" under full load.
These were with the two bone stock predator 212 engines on conventional 10w30 after 3 hr break in. Since this is china stuff, your results may vary.
SAE correction shows 6.4-6.5 hp, Standard correction shows 3% more.
Either way i think if you are not going to modify the engine, you can get whatever one you want as they are pretty much even. Even if you modify the engine to the extreme, you can still swap heads between the two.
