Go kart #11 restoration. Path Winder. I intended on giving it to my neighbor but when I speed checked it, no way…..39.6mph!
Instead of selling it for my usual of $100, I think I will put $250 just to make sure and “older” kid gets it.

Sheesh, that's $350 to $450 kart in my area, minimum and I'd get my asking price. The un-refurbished before photo is $150, maybe.

Go Kart #12 restoration. This go kart (Manco Dingo White Fox II) was given to me by a friend who works for John Deere. For me, it was only appropriate that I created a John Deere theme kart. I already have a buyer….$100.

If you were doing a restoration that would be something as it attracts the collector and $$$$

Keep that in mind if you want a "return on your investment". Don't say a restored or preserved (but otherwise mundane) Manco go kart cannot bring big bucks. There's plenty of such things on Bring A Trailer; all you need is a little hype and some good ad copy.

Go Kart #13 resurrected from the dead. Manco Dingo 285-28. I was asked to build a Mad Maxx-like kart. Here is the result:

This is a roughly 1959 Yazoo. Unfortunately it was stretched from the original. If it had been left original it would have worth roughly $1500 according to my research. I sold this one for $100 to one very happy kid.

Sold it for $100 to my neighbor across the street. I put a throttle restrictor on it to satisfy the mom.

Harmless ball-busting. I think it was a bit of reverse psychology, as in this kart is garbage and you're a knob for trying to resurrect it... Even though it wasn't and I've seen worse.
Let me ball bust you on the rope pulley behind the seat. What were you thinking?

Trust me, I can take the ball busting. (I spent 35 years in prison…as an officer, Sgt., & Lt.) Hard to show sarcasm in print. I took a chance that the motor was a good one. I cleaned the carb, gas tank, new plug, and bought an air filter kit for it. AFTER I put the kart together I tested the motor. Runs like a top. Very quiet too.
