I think you need a 5hp. Cause we all know there's some weight to pull around. Lol

But seriously I have the 5hp flathead if your saying to step it up. It's in the way. It needs rings and small hone. It ran just smoked a little bit. And you gotta use a screw in muffler.

I might take you up on that .. I might get lucky and already have rings (long shot, but who knows? ) I think I'm gonna go with the Tech for the build first, then maybe GAB on the 5 hp later.

Well....I made a template off the sprocket....did a little pondering on how I was going to make this work....and it is SUPER tight with this wheel!!!!.

I don't have an 1 1/4" like I thought.....only an inch! Sooo....the #35 chain is about 5/8" ....that only leaves 3/8" ~3/16" on each side.

I'll have to use carriage bolts and notch the frame for them to clear....or just modify the frame altogether....because that doesn't leave much room for sidewall bulge does it?

Ahhhh....but it's all about taking junk and making it work....the build-off end is still away off.....

But...I'm glad you're finding it humorous. It is going to be a bit ridiculous at times....but that's what a Poboy DIY has to go through.....trying to make something out of nothing.

Got one of those 5 mins. from my house! And a ton of cool National known stuff...(like GoPowersports and Texas Motor Speedway...ect...along the way!)

Might consider veering right at the I-35 split?

Just thinking...what do you guys think would be the minimum clearance between sprocket and wheel and wheel and frame...

I'm thinking minimum of 1/4" to frame and 1/2" between sprocket and tire?

BTW: This was a 30psi tire...so I didn't expect much deflection....but....I can see one good bump....and sidewall/chain meeting...and (while probably not catastrophic the first time....) becoming a real PITA really quickly!

EDIT: WAIT! Actually...that probably wouldn't be that bad....because the chain, sprocket, and tire would be turning in concert.....the OTHER side would probably wear more!

Still....I think it's just TOO tight! !!!

Sorry I am not familiar with mini bikes and cannot tell from your pics....

Could you use a bottle jack and widen the rear frame? To get the clearance you need?

I like Anmial style In and Out, but they lie, it's not what their burgers are all about, it takes a good fifteen minutes to get an order there.

AZ has some as well.
