Are you kidding me? They all say "Ohh yeah I babied it" But realy it's a dirtbike and it's had to crap driven right outa it. Trust me I have alot of friends with 80 cc 2 stroke bike's and theres no babying a 2 stroke.

it was more of a restoration project for the guy, he bought it for his son and his son got maybe a year out of it then got a yamaha 250, so then he rebuilt the thing and hasnt really used it since.

Messed around with it a bit. Made a cardboard head gasket (notebook back) got a helicoil insert set and re-did the spark plug hole. Tuned the carb some. She winds out real nice. It'll wheelie through second gear now, it didn't have the guts before at all. Opening up those ports really helped. Its a little screamer. I just gotta find the side cover and fix the broken exhaust stud. Once the exhaust is fixed itll have a bit more low-end.

Lets go! :2guns:

I Fixed the exhaust and dam that helped. She will wheelie right off idle. Keep in mind before it blew up, It couldn't even spin the tire on loose dirt. Its a whole different bike.

my 2 stroke dt175 had a seperate oil tank on it, but my daddy took it off and now we just run premix in it. is that bad for it?

Nope, did the same thing with my DS-80 2-stroke. It's a good idea because if that oil pump fails then bad things happen... don't have that problem with pre mix.

Well you may not burn the valves but you'll warp the head and melt the piston into your barrel. Keep the 2 stroke exhaust stock unless you can find an aftermarket tuned pipe, and re-jet accordingly.

Messed with this little sucker today. It had been running like crap. Took off the carb and both jets were plugged. Cleaned them with baking soda and vinegar. Worked a like a charm. Runs nice and smooth now. Took her out on the snowmobile trail....it actually went really good. Im sure the snowmobilers i saw laughed at me...Went about 2-3 miles of trail before my lawnmower gas tank was almost empty. Luckily i made it home
