CCA = Cold Cranking Amps; 500cca @ 12V is what it's capable of, all that means is it won't go flat as quick but, it also means it will take longer to recharge...

Using the fuel tank analogy again, the fuel is still running through a 1/4" hose, which controls the flow rate (which is akin to voltage)it doesn't flow much quicker just because there's more fluid behind it (the amount of fuel is akin to amperage)...

Now, there's likely to be one or two who will jump in & say "no, the size of the hose = resistence" or something like that but, for this exercise, it works...

Having said that, you're probably best to find a smaller battery if, for no other reason than to reduce weight...

I was working in a panel shop some years ago when a project arrived, a '78 Corvette with at least 15 different colours on it (no, I'm not exaggerating, the paint was 1/4" thick!). The boss pondered what was the "best" way (meaning the quickest, most cost effective way) & finally decided on bead blasting. Bead blasting is a lot gentler than sand blasting a can be more accurately pressure regulated to only remove what material is necessary...

Having said that, it's not cheap & I'm not sure it would be cost effective for you so, I suggest you invest in one of these & some 80-120grit discs to suit. If you're lucky enough, you'll find a shop vac to fit where the dust bag attaches to remove the majority of the dust as you create it...

So its the volts that kill electronics not amps and amps that kill us not volts lol
The is blue red yellow white purple brown and grey lol on the body of the kart like really why did they not just sand it off and paint it would have been so much easier for me

Grey being the bottom colour, correct? If so, that's the gel coat, it's part of the fibreglass, you want to leave that intact...

The reason most simply paint over existing colours on fibreglass is because it's easier than trying to not damage the gel coat...

You need to be extremely careful when sanding through multiple layers of paint on fibreglass so as not to:
-sand through the gel coat
-end up with a wavy surface

To avoid this, most people find it easier & quicker (&, therefore, cheaper) to simply scuff the old paint & spray over it...

grr lol so basically work around the grey because the last color is yellow then grey so work around the grey after the yellow right like a puzzle

Painting spoiler gloss black looks good thanks for the color scheme jim.The old black paint was chipping in some spot so i lightly sanded it with 100 grit then put it up on the wire and i am painting it the strips come after this paint dries

Florescent green pin stripes as close to monster as i could get (either that or forest green)

You should concentrate of the mechanical part first. That whole thing should be torn down and rebuilt. What your going to have is a nice painted body that will more than likely just get all chipped and scratched.

Should i replace just the gaskets and seals of the whole thing piston rod pins ect (it runs fine) in the video i posted both pistons are firing lol i called my dad up and asked him how do i check if there both firing i told him i was trying to feel the engine (heat) to see if it was running but it could not get a good judgment off of it.He said pull of the spark plug while it running and the the one cylinder fire then do the other side.I was like ok ill go and do that so i walked out side started it up and grabbed the spark plug cap and got the biggest shock of my life going through my right hand into my left hand while i was holding onto the kart.Not the best feeling in the world called him back up he laughed and said i would expect you to wear gloves or use a pair of rubber plyer's i said the rubber cap is and insulator at the end i got quiet a surprise lol.Just to find both where running fine

Make sure the paints you are using are compatible. If its krylon green, then it needs to be krylon black, and krylon primer......

Little late :/ im just using a can called spray paint lol

so go buy krylon paint and use only krylon on the entire kart .I bought 6 cans of flat black 2 cans of florescent green and two cans of gloss black

I know i need four new/used drum brakes and i think i might need a new throttle assembly for dual carb's the frame looks good i looked at it while i was looking for the serial or mm.I did not see any cracks dents breaks or re-weld's but i did find something that i'm kinda shaky about they drilled new holes into the rim of the tire to mount it to the kart
I cant seem to find any rebuild kits (gasket kits )for the model i'm after Polaris ec44 2pm-3100

You can also feel the exhaust. If its hot then that cylinder is running if not well, its not.

Is that the only identification that the engine gives? There should be a small plate on the crank case that says "fuji" then the displacement in cc's

It may help to look for info on the actuall sno mobile it came off of.
My 2 minutes of search i got this.
polaris ss 1984. 433 cc, model 0841349. Has the EC44-2PM-3100 motor

That's a very good point; even hanging, it could get bumped & scratched...

Make sure the paints you are using are compatible. If its krylon green, then it needs to be krylon black, and krylon primer......

Using different paints could cause frying or crazing in either colour (the black paint will lift &/or the green paint will form cracks); as long as neither situation occurs, you're good; if it does, start again...

Ok im going to give this thing a go through take the engine apart new gaskets seals everything i can replace go through and see whats going bad or is bad on the frame like throttle assembly ect and give it a good run down

If the engine runs fine, don't take it apart or mess with it. Focus on stuff like the brakes.... It runs, that's all you need for now.

Ok im going to take the good back brake and move it to the front because the make no parts for the brakes anymore
