You mean like those? You need to go to the auto motive paint supply house, or really good mom and pop auto parts store to buy it locally, but those are in every city. And there is always on line shopping.....

These are places within 10 miles of my house that carry the paper....

See above post....I mentioned automotive paint suppliers.....

Apparently....there are more finer grits available for orbital sanders nowadays....figures.....the whole population is dumbing down....I don't really care what you sand....with an orbital....dry sanding is going to clog the fine grit papers very quickly....and only recently have the papers improved to the point of them being feasible.....

Still....using finer grits on orbital sanders is pretty silly unless you are polishing metal.....

I'm a carpenter ....and the ONLY reason they have 320 in the wood shop is to sand finishes.....above 150 (with an orbital) or so and you polish the wood and it won't take a finish...(especially fine hardwood) ....

I've also done my share of custom metal painting....and blocking and wet sanding is the only way to get a Barret Jackson worthy paint job....

Ok to help you out here, you dont have to sand the body or anything else with paper more than 320 grit. That will mke it smooth enough for priming. After its primed with a couple coats that when you will need to use wet paper. Since the wet is used to smooth and flatten before paint the most you need is 600 grit wet. You are not painting a show car.
The higher grits are for after paint and clear coat. They are used before the paint gets polished.

This is my experience from working at my brother inlaws body shop.

If you want to take it to a car show then take it to a body shop and pay at least 2500 for a cheap show car quality. Rattle cans wont do it.
