Just in case your wondering. Here's an on/ off comparison of the hush can.
Yeah, That pipe made it really lean. Amazing isn't it? Ive got a jet kit coming.

Ill add this for your amusement.
Took it for an unexpected "first run".

In the garage, here's my view.
Keep in mind this is an after pic. Piglet was on the ground, pointed out.

Put gas in the tank.
Had a fuel leak.
Bowl was leaking out the screw.
Took the carb and bowl off and had to flatten out the area on the bowl around the screw it was bent and wasn't sealing.
Easy fix.
Back on and holding fuel.

Pulled the rope.
Fires up and tried to pull.
I grab on and hit the brakes to little effect. I guess i didn't get them set tight enough.

Still rapidly creeping out the door, I have both hands on the grips and just can't hold her back. Out the door we go.
Ahhh.
Tight squeeze!
Down the ramp we go as I'm hitting the kill button that's not responding. Now im jogging next to it and trying to hop on.
Once I'm on, I gain control and reach down for the first time with a free hand to flip the engine mounted switch.

Lol.
What happened. It ran perfectly before.

Push it back and inspect.

The throttle bar jumped out of the hole when I was messing with it.

At least you HAD a kill switch. That's above and beyond most people here, n00bs and oldsters alike. :cheers2:
Now im jogging next to it and trying to hop on....

I wonder how well it would fare riderless hurtling down a lonely highway with no obstacles. The gryo effect of the tires of course keeping it true and straight. It's not a balanced bike though is it, the asymmetry of the engine and CVT hanging off the left side means it might veer left....

On the last episode of Piglets big adventure. We took a wild ride.

This weeks episode was a little more tame. Took a spin around the yard for a few wheelies and to chase gremlins. And I found one.

Chain jumped ship and messed up the paint. Welp that's 2 incidents now. Its over now. The new is gone.

Ive got to rethink the tensioner.
As I was pondering. I looked at the slack and how much engine plate slide I had left and decided a new chain would probably be better.
This one was what I inherited and is pretty wore.

I couldn't quit take a whole link out.
So, just cause its cheap I got new chain and some half links.

And in other news..

Jets came in. Now to play swap-o chang-o a few times.

So as you saw in the video it was popping on decel. At 4200' I have to lean things a tad. But I still need to richen this up a bit too.

Pulled the jet out of the stock carb and it had a 77 stamped on it.
The new jets are marked 32-38.

My chart says 77 is .77mm and equal to .030 in freedoms.

Google says 28s come in these derps.
Hmm.

I see 34-36 seems normal for just a open air flow upgrade.

Im gonna start with the 33.

This kit also came with an upgrade emulsion tube. Lol.
Is less holes an upgrade?
Stock on the left.

The kit also came with an upgrade air bleed.
Im not familiar with this so im gonna just leave the stock one in for now.
Any of you guys know more than me about the air bleed? Clue me in.

There's a Vets day car and bike show in town tomorrow. I was thinking of taking Piglet.

Tried the 33 jet and it still acted a bit lean so I put a 35 in. Acted much better. Some run time and a plug reading will be in short order.

Got the chain tentioner back on and chain tightened properly.
Lets go do some wheelies.

And find more gremlins.

A few laps in and winding her up and snap! The rear wheel locked up and slide to a stop. Engine still running. WTH.

Look down to see the chain balled up in the frame.

Here's each end. It wasn't the master link.

Paced out the skid mark from when the tire locked up. An impressive 25 feet!

The chain is so bound, i couldn't get it out. Had to carry the rear in the air back to the shop. Gonna have to drop the rear axle to get it.

So Piglet, you get to sit in the garage and think about how you can get better.

Hey Ez² you mentioned the golden hair exhaust wrap. Heres the complementary drive chain. I got gold colored. Hope it adds a few points.
The old one added some scars. But that's life. Gotta tell it somehow.
