Well after some sipherin, I chopped off the rear bars. Will be able to shorten the bottom bars some. Tacked in some supports and plate that the spool will mount to.

The mounting tabs that came with the JD's garage spool are too short for how I'm mounting it on a flat surface. I made 2 new brackets 1-1/2" taller and set the spool in place. Tomorrow I hope to check everything for level and tack it in place.

Ok so I was able to get out in the garage today for a little bit. Bent up a rear bar and got the top joint mostly fitted. A little more tweaking and it'll be ready to tack in.

Weather is about to turn cold, hope to get out a little this weekend and make some progress

Was able to get out in the garage for a few minutes. I was able to finish cutting and tack in the driver side rear bar. Spool sitting in there not tacked in.

Threw in the firewall uprights today. This week ill need to buy the metal so I can start working on the motor mount.

Started building the engine cradle. It will be mounted on all 4 corners with bushing mounts from Barnes 4wd. The cradle will be removable but being mounted with the bushings will give a slight vibration dampening.

Thanks but getting thoes little balls that I need to sand off. Both pieces of metal were bare and clean. Plenty of gas, doors closed so I didnt have a cross wind. And I snip the wire clean before I start. O well

Maybe tonight I can cut the other end to length. Then cope and weld in the bushing tube.

My wedding ring is titanium, those "little balls" (weld splatter) stick to it like glue.

Are you bending the tubes yourself and if so, is it a hydraulic or manual bender and how do you get them so symmetrical?
