Here is the new steering knuckle in progress. The old design did not give enough steering angle. So I scrapped them and will be laying the heim horizontal. Bolting the heim joints down into the spindle. Using a 1/2" heim on top and 3/4" on bottom.
Lots has happened since the site had been down.

Exactly, who's idea was it to use them vertical?
I even stole.... ahhh l mean bought plans and the heims are verticle.

a 100 ft turning radius wasn,t gonna work
so l reworked it and turned them 90.

What size/ type material is yer kingpin/kmuckle?
Don't underestimate the beating that front end takes!

3/4" heims, couple weld in bungs arrived today. Also picked up 3/8" & 1/2" fine thread bolts for the spindles.

The tubing is plenty stout! The heim are more than up to it as well.
so what are you using here?

just curious, cuz i just did a complete overhaul, cuz 3/4 inch king pins got bent.

The tube will need some support in the middle. The hubs are trailer spindles and hubs, 4 on 4 bolt pattern. Most all golf cart rims are 4 on 4 so there's plenty of options.

Got the rear sitting on the wheels now. I had a feeling these chinese shocks were going to be too stiff and they are. While bouncing on the rear rack I get about an inch of travel. So, I ordered another pair of shocks to match the front. Should be here this week. 20250512_200622.jpg
