For anyone wanting to know, this 26mm carb runs great. I’ve had zero issues with it. Smooth stable idle and very responsive. Waiting on a catch can to ride some more.

Good to have a good review. Sometimes aftermarket carbs are tuned for the high end and are very fussy at idle/won't idle very well, and furthermore can make engines very hard to start when cold.

That's what some people want but not me.

I've been taking notes all along because my idea of karting, like yours, is no suspension and on-road all the way.

So I got the catch can in today. I’ve used these before. I was just wondering why the intake port is so stinking close to the vent on top? Especially since there is no baffle in the can. Seems like the oil will spray into the can but some will also get into the output/vent and come through whatever filter I put on it. Looking at it I see the intake hole and the output are only an inch apart. What a bone-headed design. Just venting.....and yes that was a catch can pun.

Yea, but it still looks cool. Just put an extension tube on it between the can and filter. Something jazzy of course... Be it anodized aluminum or whatever goes with your build...you got this dude!

I made a small bracket to mount my catch can to on the side cover. I also hit the can with my buffer to give it a nice shine.

I mounted the catch can bracket onto the starter cover and mounted the can. The small air filter is temporary. I used some 1/4” fuel line and hose clamps.

Bought some new 5” Tri-Stars for the front. They arrived today. New tires and tubes should be here tomorrow. I’ll post a finished pic of it out in the sunshine when I get them on.
