Could be the crank bearings, i hope its just the cyl tho, Mc lower ends are a ***** to work on.

Hmm, I cant see it being that though, It rolls over so smooth until it hits lol.

If its in the lower end, I probably wont mess with it.
If its just the cyl, I will clean it up enough to get it going again, and just run it. Let it burn oil, I dont care lol.

I've had bearings that have a shard of metal in them, or something like that, and will turn over a decent amount before stopping. Either way, before you take the heads off, check the simple stuff, like the kick starter gears and stuff, take the side covers off to make sure theres nothing in there.

Oh ok, Got ya.

Yea, If if its not in there, I'm gonna take the side covers off.

And if its not there, I guess I will take the bottom off and see whats up there.

And if its in the tranny some where, well then, I'm definatly not going there.

Update on the bike engine.

Took the head off, 3rd cyl, had like 1cm of rust stoppage, So I took a sander-flap wheel thing on the drill, cut it down to fit tight in the cyl, and took out all the rust, The flap wheel was really worn out, so It wouldn't be easy to over do it.
The wall clean up suprisingly nice, no pits.

Now the engine turns over quite smoothly, Now the fun part will be trying to get the dual cams back into time :ack2:

But it does look like I will be able to make it run,

alrighty, I got The dual cams and everything timed right, Put it all back together, and now it turns over nicely.

Also My new TAV driven clutch will be in tommorow according to UPS.
So I'm really not all that far from it being drivable, I'm hoping to get the engine and jackshaft mounted this weekend, then wire it while I'm waiting on a belt.

Motorcycle or a nice slider for the briggs.

The kid that gave me the engine also gave me a complete set of carbs for it.

Don't need one for the briggs, I know the one on there now runs, But We'll see how good it really runs here soon. I may switch it out for some better though.
