Ok, so if anyone cares, the chain shipped today along with a gas cap because I don't trust seran rap and a rubberband :roflol:

Should have this thing running in not too long, hopefully the chain gets here before I go out of town Friday.

how will you fit kart chain on that wheel? the stock sprocket is freewheel. and will bust with too much power.

you are going to replace the engine. do they make clutches for that engine that will fit that chain? you may need to change the wheel sprocket,

I ahve that same bike. As said before it is a cat eye pocket bike. I cut all of the extrac metal tabs off. It used to have a body like a crotch rocket. It had a horn, blinkers front and back, brake lights and headlights. It also had a remote start. I removed the batter box and everything that held the body on. Now it looks MUCH cleaner. Also, i tried to put a 5hp flathead briggs in it, its too tall. Its been done witht eh clone engines witht the gas tank removed. Give it a shot. can you tell me what size chain it was? Is it #35?

Good idea about cutting off all the extra tabs, 02mx-5. That helps clean up the frame, makes it look better. Just make sure it's a tab you don't need BEFORE you slice it off .....

You can remove the battery box as well. That way if you do and engine swap you have plenty of room. And im guessing he got the chain on there without a master link, then hooked it up.

No it had a master link. You can't put the chain on w/o breaking it, at least not on mine. I couldn't find the bolts to the old muffler you see in the pic, but I found another one that was on the moped I crashed. The chain is 8mm also known as BF05T I bought it here: http://www.partsforscooters.com/115-13?sc=9&category=60

The rear axle spacers are messed up and I gotta cut some new ones up:ack2:

I'm thinking of switching the 50cc 2 stroke out for a 2.5hp clone. Would I see any significant improvement?

Ok so I have learned that a Honda or a clone would fit in this ***** with little hassle so I'm going to try and do it exactly the way matty boi from pocket bike planet did it but I can't get a hold of him, I think I understand everything except how he got the chain problem, the bike uses a 8mm chain but don't normal clutches use 35 or 40/41? take a look and see if you can tell how he did it plz.

Heres the thread:

Tyke, I believe he swapped out the rear wheel on his bike for one that matched the 6.5hp engine, which means he was able to run the larger chain. I haven't seen matty boi around PBP for a while, either ......
