here in ohio you can run older karts and you can run karts that are home built as long as they resemble a racing kart and for engine wise we run what is called a clone clamer class that runs the knock off honda over head valve engine and that's prett much it the kart i race is a 2000 kart and i have a blue honda motor on it and the only thing we are aloud to do to the motor is take the gov out and install a header and after market airfilter and at that point you'll have to drill the jet and add oil and gass and go racing with the eception of a shoe type clutch not the disk type i hope this helps some

Its a Haase Racing Chassis.
Not sure on your measurements you can look at the listings
http://www.nationalkartsupply.com/chassis.htm

Hey thanks for the tip. I noticed Haase and Biesse karts are both made in Italy and seem to look fairly simalar. I've been researching lots of diferent chassis lately and was amazed at how simalar the frames of many diferent brands look. My local race kart shop guy looked mine over again and he's convinced its a Biesse.

Something kind of uniqe I've noticed about my chassis is the design of the lower steering column support brackets:

Heres a youtube video showing a Biesse chassis. This ones newer but it really looks a lot like my kart. Plus the lower portion of its steering column support is just like mine. (Pause video at 33 seconds for a pretty good view of this)

(edit)
I found some really good pics of a couple Haase karts in these 2 links:

Those Hasse karts look kinda simalar but I'm still thinking mines a Biesse.

Thanks!

Hey thanks GOKILL, It was pretty quick off the line but wouldnt do burn outs cause I had pretty tall gears.
(18 tooth clutch and a 65 rear sprocket)

I just ran across a smokin deal on this Tecumseh Star alcohol motor I'm installing now. Its supposed to have around 20 hp and I'll be running a 15/73 gearing this time so I'm hoping it might just be able to do some tire smokin here prety soon.

Thanks guys, I've been kinda broke lately but finally managed to scrounge up a deal on a well used kart stater today. We fired the Star up on Gas and it seems to run really strong. I've still gotta rebuild the carb, finish up the throttle cable, re-size the chain and a few other details but I should have it all ready this week. We dont have a video camera but I think we can shoot some short videos with our digital camera. I''ll check it out and see If I can get something posted.

That hose coming from the valve cover is not ment to have a screw jammed in it. Thats ment to be vented. The only thing a plugged breather is good for is damaging seals.

Good point Tyler. This thing came this way and I kinda got to wondering bout that too. Thing is, Its got another larger breather in the PTO side cover. It came with that 5" riser and an automotive PVC valve plugged in on top...

I've been talking to guys that race these motors. They said to first try running both vents to a catch can, but dont be surprised to find the motor pukes way too much oil at high rpm's this way. (aperently lots of Star motors have this problem even when new or freshened up)

I was told to only run between 20 and 22 oz. of oil (even though it'll hold a full quart) and if It pukes much into the catch-can I should block off the valve cover vent and only use the bigger vent through a PVC valve, and then into a catch can.

I'm buying a dual-inlet catch-can but I kinda got a feeling the guy that used to race my motor already went through all this and that valve cover vent will probably end up being blocked off again.

Yeah generally these alcohol engines puke alot of moisture and oil out. Its normall. My Rhino will blow out about around 60 ML a pass or so?

Yep, I was thinking with these engines strong pulse signal and all that oil slinging around in there at high rpm, its just gotta push a bit of oil out.

Hey do you jr dragster guys run pvc valves in your breather?

We dont use any sort of PCV valve in the Juniors. We run 2, 3/8" fittings off the valve cover with 2, 3/8" tubes going to a ballast bar. No PCV needed, Just let'r' puke. If it pukes ALOT run a tad bit less oil till it stops puking alot. My modified GX200 has a PCV vavle in the valve cover and I dont get much if any oil out the breather. Mostly just moisture.

My Star motors pulse fitting is in the crank case prety close to that large breather. When I fired it up the other day I noticed my fuel pump was hardly working. I couldnt figure out why cause the pump was just working fine with my Honda motor. I just checked my Star's PVC valve, Its shot and I think I just mighta found my low fuel pressure problem...

For running on paved road courses/parking lots I run 450 / 10.0 - 5 on the fronts and 7.1 / 11.0 - 5 rears.

For a clay oval track I've been racing at lately, I've been running the same left sides but using 11.5 x 8.10 - 6 on both front and rear right sides. It doesn't make right turns worth a dam this way but really helps it hook up better on the corners of this left turn only track.

wow, may i ask how much you paid for it?

im REALLY trying to find a racing chassis basically ready to go (minus motor) that i can go mess around on. but im having a hard time finding a reasonably priced one (no more than 500) that i can get my hands on that isnt a old toy kart frame :(
