I already flipped the bearings over and pointed the unbolted end downward. Im having a friend of mine who works at a fab shop make me some 1/4" thick straps to bolt it into the bottom hole of the hanger.

Little Update,

Apparently the header i ordered was backordered and it would not arrive for another few weeks....wtf. So i ended up canceling that and i went to lowes to get some supplies. I bought a B&S muffler and a 45* 3/4" piece and made my own exhaust. I got a plate too to mount the engine and some necessary hardware. I do have a question though. The way i have the engine mounted its on rigid rubber mounts then it bolts to the plate. Is this ok? I thought about mounting the engine directly to the plate without insulation of some sort but the vibrations would kill me. heres some pics.

Man up and remove the rubber fuel line you have there. The vibrations wont be that bad if the motor was balanced properly.

****, your good. It is fuel line, that i cut to make spacers with. They fit super snug on the bolts and they dont budge at all. When i get home ill remove them and mount it solid. it took me a while to tighten them all down and make the engine perfectly level.:mad2:

Question, someone mentioned earlier in the thread about tecumseh star parts. well i did some research and i found out that these motors can make in excess of 40hp! I looked and looked into finding these said parts but i only came up with this page. Comet Kart Sales. It dosent have pictures though. If any of you know of the Tec Star Parts will fit my engine let me know. heres my specs. this is the only site i could find that had some "detailed" specs.I dont know too much about tec engines. thanks for yall's help.

I wouldnt push a tecumsea engine too hard. And I knew it was fuel line because I could see the fibreglass braids squishing.

ok, first start today yielded black smoke and fuel flooded engine. obviously the pump can push the float bowl down and introduce more fuel into the carb. while it was running fuel was flowing out of the carb like a hose. this is a powerful little pump. looks like i need a restrictor of some sort so it dosent put too much fuel in the engine, or a return line system. which might be easier.

I knew it was going to happen. That fuel is running out of that tube is the carb bowl over-flow. Whats REALY bad is that it puke's fuel out the over flow and STILL pushes fuel past the needle and seat. Which means that the pump is like 10 times too strong.

Return line system worked awesomely. I made a beta system today with some spare parts i had laying around. heres what i came up with. engine fired up on second pull. The brass looking thing on the end of the fuel inlet of the carb is actually a .030 nitrous pill. it fits snugly in place and delivers the exact amount of fuel to the carb without overwhelming it.

Im calling it a beta because i decided im not going to use the stock fuel tank. Im going to make a remote tank on the opposite side of the kart so it will be easier to plumb the feed, return, and the Nitrous fuel feed line. and plus i dont want a whole mess of hoses around the engine. it makes it look crappy and its a potential fire hazard if one of them gets burnt through.
