Ooooh... going with the Ford smog pump now, huh? I have read a lot about those mods. Great idea you had there, Denny! Its going to complement that custom welded cam and welded combustion chamber you encouraged him to do with his welding machine so nicely.:popcorn:

On a COMPLETELY different subject... have you heard the story about a guy taking the M80 away from a 10yr old and handing him a stick of dynamite and a kick *** zippo and walking away? Its almost like I'm there, right now, witnessing him say... "I'll just be over here... behind this blast shield... if you need anything."...:::safely behind the blast shield::: "Boy-oboy, you sure are going to look cool lighting something with that there zippo.... I bet ya can't wait!.::: I don't know why, but that little story just popped it my head for some reason. ;)

That's a good story to compare to. If all is done right it will be the coolest thing ever seen. If it isn't done right *BOOM* Po Boy explodes.

but anywaysss.. i was thinking if i'm going to do it anyway, it's best to be done right. Thanks Denny ur the best.

and DARN! the last black mamba camshaft just got sold.

Now i'm looking at even bigger cams.
i was looking at cams bigger than .308 such as the .320 series with a .260 duration but it REQUIRES a lot of stuff such as bigger valve ports and bigger carb ,dual springs and other stuff but it has a s3Xy promise of a 20+ horsepower gain for $100.

No problem....You're welding your own....(REMEMBER? ) ....(A good liar has to keep his story straight!

I wouldn't worry about pricks brakes ....you'll need a parachute to stop it anyway!

Translation: I'm going to get a different cam and since I have the old one laying around, I thought I'd cut it up and practice welding on it. It will never see the inside of the engine (except maybe for pics) . I just figured since I'm so much smarter than you guys...I'd keep playing games and making an A$$ out of myself...because I crave attention.

I like to think I'm fooling you guys with my superior intellect, but then again, I live in a different reality.

I have an extra bottle of "nitropropane" laying around you can have for $100....

Ummmm...or did you forget?

BTW: Would someone please post a link to the YouTube video 'Honda CR500 uphill climb'....so we can all get a sneak peek at FreeRunners build after 3 admantium jackshafts, a custom grind cam......and (most importantly! ) that spoiler! (Look close and you'll see it at the start!)

F275 cam with .278 lift .259 duration 8200RPM
http://www.howardsoutdoor.com/product-p/275f.htm

i'm guessing this is better than a black mamba cam.

holy crap they make a .363lift and .263 duration!? thats just insane! No way i would do that! too much engine maintenance and requirements.

You forgot i said the rods to weld cast iron were incredibly expensive. (though i didn't say because of that reason i won't be welding my own.)

Yeah right...? (That's your story and you're sticking to it!):roflol::roflol::roflol:

Friday is coming....:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:....

Guarantee...easier and cheaper to make a seat, redo a fubar frame, and hook up a throttle....than regrind a custom cam....and...since you didn't even know about the rods, you obviously didn't do even a little bit of research in this area....but a man can dream, can't he????? (Much easier than doing! ) (Especially, while imbibing! !!)

Ok I got to ask.... What's all this talk about cast iron. You all talkin about the cams right??? , those cams are either forged steel.... Or cast steel...

0.6 TENTH of a mile...
0.06 miles

105 yards or not even 100 meters...
you should've called Bret.. he could've thrown your kart back home in a single swing ;)

'sid

My driveway:

By the way, i meant .7mile. i'm not sure even the hulk could do that. Well he probably could.

Well i WAS going to but 60$ for a pound of nickel welding rods?? now THATS crazy.

I paid a hundred bucks a pound for tig filler wire, the stick rods are like 55% nickel, so that sounds right. The stick rods weld incredibly fast though and it seems like the metal stays fluid under the slag for a lot longer than you would expect. I wouldnt dare weld anything small with a stick welder.

Like I said before....my family are all drag racers....^^^^^this is pretty close to what I do on lake roads in a car....which is why my passenger seats are always stained brown and stinky!

Actually rotary vane superchargers have been around since the early 1950's at least. They were very popular especially in Europe with all their small cars they have there. There are also historical facts backing up everything I have advised him on. So before you go popping off at the mouth maybe you should do some reading and studying on your own.

True...but Landuse gave him some very simple direction on how to extend his frame....which he completely ignored....then defended his cobbled up POS. when told it would fail.....(which it did!)

So don't be surprised when you see a Ford WATERPUMP with a wastegate!
