i am curious about the nitrous idea now. i cant afford it but i would try it with a pinhole-sized jet with that insulator i showed you at AGK.

http://www.nitrous.info/images/Jet_Sizes_2.25.pdf

Shows jet sizes for NOS and Fuel.
This shows what size jets to use for various fuel delivery systems.
Gravity fed, fuel pump(s), fuel pressure...

Would need solenoids for fuel and NOS, a proper bottle, proper valve, Fogger Nozzle, a switch, retarded timing, A SCATTER SHIELD.....

800 psi NOS with 0.018" NOS jet

Separate Fuel pump (doesn't feed carb inlet) with a fuel pressure regulator set to 10psi and another 0.018" Jet for Fuel.

14 HP Boost

Is it less evil if I include the scatter shield in the post?

This is NOT a good idea.(PSA)

Waiting for "retarded timing" joke in 1, 2, 3...

Too Easy.

I left it out on purpose.

---------- Post added at 11:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 AM ----------

The ignition timing on my engine was DD'd, but after installing NOS I had to FR it a little.

-Sorry JK, hard to pass up a good joke

Wouldn't that make YOUR timing retarded?

I should have left it in the original post. I was trying to be nice so I deleted it. And now the timing of the joke is FR'd to the point where it is no longer funny.

I apologize to everybody, but the two drink minimum is still in effect.

Got the cam today but i think the specs are not what i was looking for.
i havent installed it, just opened the box to look at the cam.
after i purchased i think the LSA is too far apart(109*) and maybe the duration is too much.

So i want to know.. once the powerband kicks in is there going to be a LOT more power than the stock?

on side note: i'm thinking about returning it because it probably doesnt have the torque i desire. and also cause i will be working a real job and am saving up for a car and going to tune it :) . working on this engine has taught me a lot more about engines and i am grateful for it.
drug test tomorrow : o

heres cam card :

Centerline: 108 atdc exhaust , 110 btdc intake = 109*LSA
.276lift ,.239 duration
i wonder if i should just upgrade to stiffer driver springs.
This whole engines' resale value would be enough to buy forged rods for a car. maybe a bit for forged pistons.

So your kart has too much torque, right? Does burnouts the driveway and dig holes in the grass? So you want a torque cam? You knew the BM Jr was described at Ultra Torque Cam? You know there are lots of options for cams? So You ordered a non-torque cam? So that you can return it to get a torque cam? For more Torque? You could add a jackshaft?:surrender:

yeahh,b y the time i noticed the LSA and read up on negative causes of too much duration combined with lift It was too late. I'm thinking about keeping it and stiffening up the driver and driven springs to balance things out that way i can be what?? "Quick AND Fast". it worked itself out like a miracle. But you make a good suggestion once again.

[/COLOR]Too bad those canisters are only enough to fill one balloon but it's the thought that counts. Probrably good for 2 sprays maybe 3 depending on gear ratio, camshaft, and torque converter setup but nothing can stop a person from rigging up 2 canisters at a time maybe 3 to a container.

if i raced for money in a league i wouldn't be sharing some good stuff. good thing for other people saying it is a bad idea and it wont work. (even if it does)
