My to do list:
-get torque wrench
- remove flywheel
- grind BLOCK on intake side and crankshaft on exhaust side. i may need another look to confirm.
-install .290 grind
- insert 6 degree timing key
-re-install flywheel
- finish frame weld
- put everything back on

ugh. Bob poor me a whole glass will ya. i think its a bourbon type-a day.

i'm sitting in the garage grinding the crank,right? and this lil booger slams into the window in front of me knocking its self clean out lol..:



It's flying around now It was just stunned for about 20 minutes.

Wait 'til you get it. Those guys can't even spell right in the manual. Or on the e-start.
on the starter there is a "circuit protetor" next to a reset button. Like if you trip a breaker kind of button i guess.

i think i'm ready to put the engine back together and start her up.
i wonder if it will be lopy. i kind of like lopy.

Well it's back together now. Just needs oil, fuel pump, and gas tank back on and ,vroom vroom, tearing off belts.

Weird, although it wouldn't surprise me if people crank them way too long.

That makes sense i think.

lol, i made a run of the new cam and it has a HUGE difference in throttle response. quarter throttle blip and it barks.
the "lol" part is it freakin blew off the freakin choke butterfly!!

to be honest i let i run lean. no fuel pump was connected. gravity feed sux.

First test, First fire up of the .290cam and the choke valve pops off lol. proof in video too.
ran too lean and i knew when i was running lean and knew better than not to do that. but hey..at least it was the butterfly and not the head,right? lol .the cam is powerful but not THAT powerful.

So it sounds like you are already stuffing up your new engine. It also sounds like you didn't even try start it as a stock engine before you started stuffing it up

It's the 212, silly.
lol and you should know dang well by know if i had the equipment and parts i would GAB any day on that engine.

Also found a dual outlet fuel pump in case i ran a second carb for boost purposes. i probably wont ever need it cause the torque converter is so power-limited.
