No the heim is going to be just on a strong mount completely in line with the axle

Well got a little update. I have the trailing arms mostly completed. Iswapped out that aluminum axle for a steel one and cut it down to size. I built the mounts for the heims out of rectangular tubing.

And then i notice the grade 8 bolts i got were too short i got 2" and i needed 2.5" ohwell back to lowes... Anyway for the side support on the trailing arms i needed bungs but never got any so i took some 1/4" steel and drilled a 5/8 hole in it then took my 1.5" hole saw and made my cut to have an end cap on the dom tubing.

Once i welded that on i then welded a nut on top to screw in the heim. Then i spent a little time on getting everything level and straight then did my tack welds.

Now that i got all that stuff done i noticed my package came with my 42tooth sprockets so i threw them on to see what it was looking like then i thought of having two brake disks on each half shaft instead of just one on the main axle. Also added in some gussets to the arms.

And for the main axle i am also going to spin some threads on each end and add a center bearing for support. Should hold up great.

And here is just some random shot
