that is bloody high

iv got mine with the bottom of the sump only just above the bottom of the frame

The pic is deceiving, Because of the angle that I have to mount it that is about the lowest I can go. There is only about a inch between the sump and the frame.

i like the look of a motor thats high but thats just me. Great Job though looks sweet!!

Thanks!

it may look better but itll hurt it in the bends

It will be braced more when I'm done so that shouldn't be a problem.

i dont think this thing is built for performance... i dont think it will do a whole lot of damge to performance though.

Its not built for racing or anything extreme, but I will be taking it to some pretty high speeds. If anything mounting the motor higher will allow the motor to get more air through the air box.

by hurt it in the bends i ment the centre of gravity is high

what corners faster an f1 car or a truck

yes it is as low as u can but it should probs be a bit wider to drop the engine down

oh well still looks good and will still go like mad

edit
whats with the car in the background of the third pic, not looking very flash lol

Sorry for the lack of updates, Ive been busy getting back into school. I do have acess to the shop everyday for the next 2 trimesters though :wai: . Cut my spindles out on the CNC plasma cutter. On thursday I should start turning out tome spacers and other things on the lathe  . Im hoping to finish it within 3 weeks of today. All I really have to do it figure out exhaust, breaks, and steering and then Im good to go.

is that spindle tacked on or fully welded on?

also are u going to add any more support to the a arms?

The spindle is welded on the inside, but I will finish welding it on the outside tomorrow. The a arms will be getting alot more support.

Great build! I can't wait to hear how it performs. I am about to start a similar build and wondered if you would mind sharing your sketchup file?

You should probably get some larger bolts for those heim joints so that they don't have any play. As well as put spacers so they can't slide on the bolt.
