Hello,

Sorry for starting an old thread but I've been searching around for a bout a week and this is exactly the setup I need!

What size bar did you use for the drive shaft and what size bearings are they?

How did you get the spline drive shaft to fit onto your custom made drive shaft and not slip? Did you just weld it?

Did i miss something or is there not much in the way of motion available for the steering? unless there is a pivot for the front wheels somewhere not shown this doesn't look like it will be very friendly in the steering department. if i am missing something please fill me in i'm getting very interested and plan to build my own mini buggy soon so i am trying to learn about some of the mechanisms involved. and as far as steering goes i just don't see this one working. Other than that it looks awesome cant wait to see it moving under its own power.

the two at the end of the a arm? that wont give you much articulation tho... also kind of a weak point id be leery of that point carrying shock loads such as heavy bumps and jumps or trying to corner at speed. just my observation it may work just find but i tend to over build and know that it will hold under the most extreme bc i will probably end up doing just that.

another thought... perhaps they are not a weak point but rather its just oriented wrong. if the rod ends were rotated 90° you would get a full range of motion for steering and still get the pivot needed for the A arms. just thinking out loud... sorta. please correct me if im wrong. :)
