Always been concerned about the slip of a "sprocket disc" for a brake when the chain is well lubed, often overly lubed by many in a rush to get riding. Oil and brake pads are never real compatible. At least your right-hand side "sprocket disc" isn't getting lubed.

I cannot find an original brake setup. I however am saving a little money here and there to buy a tecumseh kickstart from eBay. Pricey but it’s gonna be worth it.

A slightly lighter shade of green square on the number plate of my chopper. Wonder if the original sticker is under there? Pic of the original sticker for reference. Think I should try to sand it back to see if it’s there and savable??

You could try with a very fine grade waterproof sand paper and water. But be prepared for disappointment. But you never know.

Another picture of one from 2015 I found on the oldminibikes forum. This one is rough and you can see at one point the rim was flipped and so they could run the chain directly from the clutch to the sprocket. No jackshaft or brakes. these pop up on Michigan or Detroit craigslist sometimes. Makes sense the factory is still in Michigan. Owned by the same brothers since 1959 Edit: the one in the below picture is owned by adarter an oldminibikes admin.
