No Indian head in the air filter so the filter is probably not original.017FF483-BA35-44B0-A4C1-952D34A914BF.jpegAF59FCFB-0036-4DCE-AE6E-C20A91DD006B.jpeg

I put a generic snowblower carburetor on it and replaced the fuel line. Also added a second fuel filter to keep the carburetor clean.0C51E976-2601-426F-AD86-4333F17E7219.jpegAE796C53-06F1-4534-A131-64B02AEC6CBE.jpeg

The original Lauson carburetor was in great condition for being from 1970.. if only there wasn’t that small hole in the bowl. D5FD781C-2D1D-4DC1-AEB0-D20AA34CF806.jpegF25E0000-DB5A-4F64-B454-2400D5C3149A.jpeg

I added a new throttle cable in the twist grip and the whole govornor system was left in tact. All I had to do was run a new cable. The throttle is still setup the way it came out of the factory. And I added a seat for looks.0F2875CA-891C-4E55-9D0D-A4783B2C24A8.jpeg

Latest picture from last nights ride. For a tejunkseh it runs amazing. First one I have ever had that just runs like a new one. I have ran three tanks of fuel through it so far and it’s never skipped a beat. Top speed must be 25-30mph..EBF29CBB-A4A5-4BAE-99A8-81B2659896D9.jpeg

You see the shocks on the back of the free blue mini bike I posted about? Same shocks same made in Italy stamps and markings everything. I was able to pull the busted shock off the outlaw and replace it with the same exact shock absorber. You would never have known that shock was replaced if I didn’t say something.068B81BC-40DD-4C7C-94AB-4C1145BB146E.jpeg

That is so cool!
I almost didn’t buy it  the guy had the mini chopper and this regular mini bike for sale. At the last moment I texted him and was like ya know throw that mini chopper on the trailer but I don’t want the Regular mini bike. I had little hope when I first got it but after a short look could see it was a good starting point.63A56459-EBEF-4A4E-85CC-677B60603129.jpeg

I’m sure it will be a great little bike. Love the sissy bar!
I was in a big orange hunting suit and a blue helmet out riding all around the back roads for hours. It is a very solid running h30. Even the original looking j-8 spark plug was cleaned and re-gapped. i have been watching ebay for an h30 kickstart mechanism. if one pops up for sale I know what I’m getting for Christmas.

I took the brake handle and cable off due to the original brake being missing. I also stuck some handle grips on the feet bar. Been out riding it since I started this thread. The engine runs so unbelievably smooth never skipped a beat. I have been venturing farther and farther away from home and it’s never acted up once. The absolute funnest thing ever to ride.3E431643-BFD9-4C37-ACF6-C54E30CDE6F3.jpeg

You must have looked really cool! Now you need to find an old style squared off slick to replace the rear tire with. For that cool 70s look and vibe.

I ride on the back roads up to a bunch of dirt roads so a slick wouldn’t be the best option for the terrain. I really wish I would have taken the other mini bike just for the h30 it had on it. I wasn’t thinking about it. It would have had the same lauson carburetor and probably even the same air cleaner. Darrnnnn

I would rather look cool than be safe. That’s what the 70s was about. Put the slick on! Be cool! I would!

the snow is coming and one of the greatest times I have had was on the ds80 that had a bald tire Blasting through three inches of snow on the road. So I might just have to get a slick for the chopper and go slide around in the snow. I’m sure you know the Tecumseh fuel line runs along the engine case behind the flywheel. That’s to warm the fuel on snowblower applications. From the factory This little chopper was setup for cold weather riding. Gonna be a great winter.
