I dunno- wouldn't that be unnecessarily expensive? I have no idea what's up with the offset wheel thing either...

In about an hour, I'm going to run over to my coworker's house and pick up the DuraForce (amongst other things). Wish me luck!:worried2:

Scored! Wow- I didn't expect to be in this late. Shot the breeze, had dinner and a beer, BS'ed about work. Anyhow- I got my DuraForce- Freebie!

Compression feels good on the pull, but I'm too tired to mess with it (10:30pm over here) and unfortunately I'm taking off for the weekend immediately after work tomorrow so I won't really be able to check it out until Sunday evening :censored::mad2:

I hope it's good! Anyway, here's my prize!

Interesting... Value aside, I'd hate to think I fought that long and hard to lay hands on a good 2-stroke for conversion only to find out I ought not do it. I guess I'll see. First, I'm going to assess it's condition and hopefully find it's a runner without too many issues. I suppose I'll figure out my next move from there.

somebody send me one of these engines with the boost port.

goddang i will be boss if i had that engine. I think that would be pretty much the only twostroke lawnmower engine that hasn't been sold down here. The funny thing is you could still sell it new in australasia. Somebody tell that to lawnboy. Only twostoke competition left on the market to victa are chinese clones of the old suzuki engine

Wow! (I see that one is self-propelled, this one isn't, but) Wow!
What did these things retail for?
I do have an evilbay account, I've never sold anything though- just purchases.

Well- I just got in from work, and I'm about to get lost for the weekend, but I could not fight the urge to mess with it for a few minutes. It's a runner!!! :bannana:

None if the above...those are ALL 4 cycle (note valve covers).
2 cycle Lawn-Boy has been out of production since 2004.
Link provided shows green painted Toro mowers.

Good catch Russ. I just Google'd LB.

one of their mowers is called "blade stop"

why? i prefer my mower to spin. lol.

We recently got a new one and looked into this. It disengages and stops the blade while the motor is still running so you can walk away from the mower safely while not needing to restart it when returning back to it. Useful for emptying the bag...because it's tough to pull start a warm motor.

I just got a text today, I'm getting a free LB on Monday! This is like the week of free LBs. I'll have Russ give it a good look on here before I try anything cause it might be worth something to someone.

Thanks for this thread. I have another item logged into my head for this years garage sale season. I would never think a mower like this would be worth anything like that. I would walk right by it. Untill now that is.
