Russ. As much as most everyone here respects you, you're being a d!ck right now. Some people might actually take it seriously if you would just man up and name a price.

Sounds like a interrogation, heres my opinion.

Compare it to a commercial price, eg. getting an engineering shop to do it.

Materials -

Man hours -

Stuff up cash -

Delivery -

Gst -

Then add on to that -

Actual price or engine -

Engine modifications if any.

All of you mechanically minded, experienced people can fill in the blanks.

Also compare this to a 200 odd cc 2 stroke clone engine/stationary without mounts, doubt price and delivery would be too far off what he wants for it.

Good on ya russ.

I know this is off topic to what this was at first, which was a man showing off his new fancy mower, but seriously... why do you think the mower is worth that much? Russ, if you are an avid enthusiast you should be happy others want to use the same engines as you, if you are someone who sells these things you should realize that you need to set a solid price and stick with it, not mock those who want to purchase from you. There is no medium here. The mowers seem really cool, but honestly I've never paid for a lawn mower, we just find them on the street when people throw them out, they're never bad, just clogged carbs, broken wheels, or sheered flywheel keys.... as a lawn mower I can not see a value, as a kart engine on the other hand it has a purpose but with clones you're out of luck asking for a large price (you can try to rationalize quality all you want but the warranty harbor freight issues defeats all arguments).

Russ just doesn't want to sell the motor. No big deal. I wouldn't sell it either.

I have a Duraforce that I had on my racing tractor for about a week, main rod bearing seal starting leaking so I swapped it out for a 7hp brigg OHV Intek. I will part with the Duraforce for $100 :D

I have to agree with Russ here. I mean it really cant be sold. No one will pay that much for it. Then again that is what its worth because of machining time/ labour ect. You cant put 30 hours of work into something and sell it for 50 bucks. Really you just cant sell it, its not worth selling.

I tried to start the fire with this Lawn-Boy thing...so far, no one has completed anything with the horizontal scenario.
I have seen attempts at friction drive...to hooking them up to faulty drive lines...
One guy said outright that he would have his engines mounted and running "before the snow melts".
I'm still waiting...:toetap05:
I would like to compare notes...
