Update!!

This Go Kart has been sitting in the back of my garage for quite a long time.
This is due to a few reasons:
1. Gear Ratio is too low; no acceleration and doesn't allow the engine to Rev out.
2. The throttle rod/assembly; the little piece on the throttle butterfly broke.

I am planning on Boring the engine out, and adding a 20mm ATV Carb, upgraded Cam Shaft and bigger flat top piston, rings and gudgeon pin.

I'm going to add a Torque converter, and maybe new, smaller tyres, to make an off-road racing go kart.

You gear ratio is too HIGH if you have no acceleration.

4.8 on 14s will work np if total riden weight is <300lbs. I run 4.3 on 6ply 16" (much heavier tire)... but my frame was made to handle the speed... 50mph.

Just fyi
