So... a small story. Some down time has me figuring what to do with the remains of certain things around here.

By Down time, I mean it's been a few months since racing has been on the agenda. My kid had an accident resulting in a broken cheek bone, concussion & whiplash. This took her out of racing for months.

So, a pic of her with her ride today, about to race again in a few weeks. I'm proud of her, she tore the whole thing down & reworked it all, right down to bleeding the brakes too. I taught her well.

Back to the other part of the story... and by other part.... I mean the UGLY part.

See the pics. Look! It's Yet another Sarge-Class kart... Not sure wha to nickname it just yet. GOLIATH maybe?. 2 Engines, 6 wheels, 7 + feet long... and a whole lotta something going on.

And the cop car in the background... running too with a finely tuned briggs 5HP and updraft carb to boot.

LOL!

The 6 wheeled Sarge! Cool. Reminds me of the WWII DDay invasion of France.
They had a bunch of Crazy tanks. I dont remember what they called them Silly tanks.
No wait Wikipedia says "Hobarts Funny Tanks" There you Go.

And we've reached the end... LOL!

All the parts left over have yielded yet another Sarge Series street racer. Kart Rod 10, sarge series #4.

Call it an afterthought, but... it is what it is.

And it's light too. Little thing should fly. I think we'll use this one in the snow.

I nicknamed it "spider" because of the way it seems to sit... with its nose in the air, two big eyes up there and this strange sort of attack stance... and some weird reference to the GN Spider. Google that, you'll see what I mean. Personally, it's my all time favorite race car.

More soon... no, I'm not done yet.

Thanks for looking.

LOL! Nope, all the kartrods... or in this case... my Go Kart Army as it seems, all sport the same engine. All are 6.5 Honda GX200's or equal clone.

Anyhoo... now we may be nearing the end. Seeing this thread is getting tired, we'll wrap it up by pulling out the last usable frame I had put aside...

Welcome Sarge series 5, the sidewinder. Capable of twin inline engines and one strange setup, it will end the Sarge Series. Originally, the frame was for the Baroness but didn't quite work... but with a skinnier front clip, it's possible to use.

Onward to the finish line, 5 Sarge series karts.... my Go Kart Army... to be on display at our next AutoRama here in SLC.

Disregard the clip from Sarge 4, I just needed it for the mock up.

Yep.

 I've said it before, but I'll say it again; if I ever get out of the hole I'm in, I'd love to get you, me, and a laundry list of the usual suspects all in one place over real beer's, just for the fun of it.... You know, chew the fat.........:cheers2:

Update:

Cooler weather has moved in and the Racing season is coming to an end. Also means that the kartrods building is on hold for a bit seeing I own no garage.

At the track, I ran into an old "race dad" that got out of karting a while back and he gave me a present today.

Meaning, Free.

One Brand new (far one in the pic) and one lightly used, race prepped Honda GX200's from the days when our track used the Honda.

Thought I'd share.

Guess I'll have to build some more rides now that I have these sweeties.

Yep, if you want to know if it's a real Honda, just look for two things. Top of the block and the head both say it.

I tried to quote from the post with this picture not realizing the pictures wouldn't come along.
At first I thought they were military engines like the 1A08-4 or something.

Oh yes, that. I switched to those two briggs on the tank version of sarge... so my fault.

Some have a hard time following me. Imagine that.

If you only knew.

Onward.

Oh gosh, I know. Staying neutral at the track always brings rewards.

I could post a rage smiley... but some would get offended pretty easily.

Update:

Weekend at the track afforded a few hours of down time... and I've got Sarge II with me.

I've got a few loose ends to sure up here but the high speed run went well. Not a clue how fast it was actually going but it's faster than Sarge. So, probably around 55 or so.

The 2nd pic is of interest because just 60 MILES straight ahead, lie the Bonneville Salt Flats.
