Sure, the KartRods were fun and the concepts I came up with were great. But as I found yesterday while driving Sarge many many times, it just has a certain something that's fun to drive... and it makes people smile.

That, and I just love tinkering with it.

So... we'll continue this journey with a new direction.

Finish the cop car with a decidedly late 50's flare... and use it to chase the different versions of the Sarge.

I found another gas can and went wild. She'll look nice.

Don't worry... the frame used is the "transformer" frame which has attachments for 3 different kart rods, all which can bolt on at any time to make whatever I want. For now, it's S2.

That is all for now.

Have a great day.

Cool, You need a whole fleet!
Didn't they use little flags on the front fenders for like a General or something?

Thanks!

I should elaborate here. The drive yesterday resulted in yet more "tick marks" on Sarge of course. I really should count some day.

There's a street in my neighborhood where I commonly FLOOR it and hit top speed. Top speed on Sarge is about 50. Reason: I've monitored this street for years and there's no kids to speak of and no pets, so it's reasonably safe to assume this land missle I drive won't kill anyone.

Some new people in the hood stopped me and wanted to look at Sarge. It was the usual bunch of mid 30's people. A few colored guys, and some younger oriental types that drive these street rice-burners that seem to smoke a lot cause they can't figure out what a race engine really is...

Anyway...

One was genuinely interested and wanted to build one. The other younger ones wanted to photograph the thing and felt it "ok" to just touch everything on it.

Furthermore, the rice-burner guys kept making comments like "you should have designed it like a hummer man."

Oh yes, a hummer. The ultimate mall shopping vehicle. Sure, that's what I'll do next... make a hummer.

Gosh no.

A third guy offered me weed to build one... or buy Sarge... with weed.

Oh wow. Really? Weed for a go kart?

I put my helmet back on and drove off. It's safe to assume that none of these fine examples of humanity will be joining me any time soon.

Passengers in life. Screw em.

Time to strap the gopro on...

Stay tuned on that, I have an idea that will mark each one permanently.

Thanks.

Continuing on:

More work on serial number 002 of the Sarge Class Kart. LOL! Pretty goofy huh?

Using a lot of what I'd already envisioned for other rides in the past, the front clip simply makes it a "sarge."

Coming along nicely.

On we go.

I love the wheels and tires. What are they? Tire sizes?

Manco 5" all the way around. The rear are live axle ones. Tires, standard Chen Shin 4.10 x 350 x 5's up front, tall bigfoot 12x4s' in the back.

Kelly, What happened with the cyclekart?

Denny

It's around, just a mellow slow project really. Not much to em so it'll emerge soon enough.

Moving along:

Sarge likes Sarge 2 I think.

Although it looks the same (as my kid tells me) it's totally different in so many ways.

Got a ton done, should roll soon.

Moving along, part II.

This, to me... is just fun... especially when you consider exactly how much junk was used for this thing.

I think someone called it "kart porn" once.

Anyway, Unit 51 (a.k.a. Moving Violation has had a few changes... and we're almost ready to roll here as soon as I find a few more updraft carbs & the rebuild kits for em. They're finicky turds.

I think she's gorgeous.

You should put big black dots in those headlights, Like Googly Eyes on a Muppet. Gives them a certain Cartoon look!
