yeah you shouldn't have painted him green...
red and green.. No need to teach you about complementary colors right :D

what classy WWI lady could resists the compliments of a snappy WWII gentleman?
See?!... that was only a matter of time.

But still.. I really liked the Wachtmeister (especially before he turned green)

yes yes. I know. How disappointing of me! LOL!

But! Fear not... It's usable. The baroness has undergone the most revisions in the whole bunch. Just the right look had to be achieved. Given, my rides are always these slammed things... the side-ride version just would have never worked. It was neat to look at though but I'm not one for "show pieces." I'd rather use them. That's the fun.

Back outside after dinner with my family and... sure, I know, I know.

The baroness needs the turbines. It just makes her.

The police car... well... now I'm back to square one with the wheel treatment. Sure, I have tons of wheels but none of it is working visually. Probably just go with black steelies & be done with it.

I dunno, I never do.

Thanks for looking.

Oh Wow! That will teach him to steal from the bird feeder!

Pretty funny. I'm still on the um... bird feeder on how ... screw it. Nevermind. It's a squirrel.

Moving on.

With the cop car basically functional except for a few things, and I was on the bird feeder with the wheels, we'll return to basic white steelies as old cop cars had just basic wheels anyway.

So for now, it's white steelies until something comes along that's better... and it will. Just takes time.

On a side note, in the pile of stuff I've acquired over the years was an engine.

It looks like a central machinery clone to me... just like the greyhounds but more on the true Honda clone lines... and the greyhound clones were pretty decent for what they were.

So, a bit of cleaning & inspecting, a few parts here & there... and we have a runner.

Nifty. Maybe tomorrow I'll pop the governer out. That'lll make 3 engines I can just trash if I feel like it.

Thanks for looking.

Update:

Mild pieces of work tonight, wheels for the cop car. It's a real pain sandwiching these 6x6x12's between these rims but we've got it done.

Notice the braking system here. Original Bendix drum system with the drive gear attached to the drum. Makes for a simple rear end here.

Also, the last pic is the inspiration for this one. The old school cop car based on a shape I fell in love with.

Of course everyone that ever watched Christine wanted one of them... some even got one and I've even ridden in one. Sadly, I'd never have that car, the Plymouth Belvedere... so I made my own version.

(anyone says Christine was a Fury gets slapped... it wasn't.)

So, all in place and it'll function. Time to pull it all apart and weld things up right, then it's time to go for a ride. Wonder how fast this one will be. 19 up front and 55 in the back with 12" dia tires. Clutch is a noram GE, engagement speed about 4K and max rpm of 5100. We're gonna burn a few things I'm sure.

Yea yea, I know. But, it's all about top speed for the street racer. Get to top speed & stay there.

On high speed tracks in racing, sure it burns for a bit but once you're there, it don't matter... and the Noram can handle it.

Update:

Continuing on.

The coming days should bring this one to life... Unit 51 that is. Also known as Moving Violation, she's gone through a few variations to arrive where it is today.

Just a few things to finish up and we'll run it. If all goes well, we'll strap the gopro on & shoot a video for y'all of this one's first runs.

So, sporting some test wheels consisting of Manco 5" rims, and bigfoot rears, we'll see how it goes. Upon success, we'll break it down & tell you all what went into it.

Thanks for looking.

Almost looks as if he wrapped an Orange shirt around the kart stand. Almost.
Would be a good use for an orange shirt though V neck! ;)
