In the very first picks isn't there a Cab in front of the dump bed? In it normal Position?

Oh right. Ive got an '84 dozer, and No Cab just a plastic Roll bar thing.

But This thing really does need the Tonka truck Front end right where you put it.

Ok.:idea2: SO make the Dozer blade operational,:wai: right where you are holding it.

Earth shattering update:

LOL! (not really)

Wheels... that minibike has a 6" manco on the front and it just won't do. Those 6" manco's are for the train.

What to do here.

Walking around outside after dinner has me glancing at one of the kart stands that lives outside from time to time... and it's got a mismatched set of wheels... and one of them just has to go to the minibike. It's one of those newer deals with all 4 bolts to the hub and 6 all around the rim... so it looks neat.

In a deal a while back I acquired some old rusty old yeller things with 5 bolts and only one of those 6" ones was good... so...

Swap.

What an update huh?

Seriously, on a side note: Does anyone have ONE 4" manco wheel half? I knocked one of mine off the shelf and "pop!"

I still have those 2 sets we talked about before... I think one is a 4in.
I dont foresee myself using them, I have a set of boring steel wheels I will use. :D

Yea, now I find one... winter's fricken over.

50 bones picks up this... tracks for a snow kart rod. Wonder what it'd take to mod this contraption into a bolt-on addition?

Not an update, a request.

Does anyone have ONE of these? I'm looking for just one of the older aluminum scrub brakes to put on U51.

Update:

Back from the weekend racing and got a chance to mess with the mini bike.

As for racing, my daughter is doing well with her new instructors/team and the class is big for the first points race of the season. I think there were 20 of them there.

In the end, 3rd,4th, 5th and 6th place came across the finish line 4 WIDE. The difference between the drivers in this battle for 3rd was .007 seconds. She almost got a podium. Maybe next time. But hey, 6th isn't bad when you're up against some pros. At least she was in the front pack.

Back to the mini bike, A good hour or so was going through the motor I'll be using. It's a predator I've had on various projects and will be just right for this. It's fast enough.

With a nice freshening of the motor, we mounted it and ran it. Yay, a roller and a runner. Just need to hook up a throttle.

Then it was to the rest of the frame to figure out where to put the rest of the frame additions to sure it up. A few tack welds here & there and we're on our way.

This thing will be nifty when done.

Note to self: Figure out the seat.

Thanks for looking.

sheesh TonkRad looks mean..

it asks for a shovel seat.. maybe one of those cast tractor seats...

... hmm that yellow thingamabob on the front reminds me of a bicycle seat...
yellow banana seat anyone? LOL

On the other hand.. why ruin the shape with a seat?
How about some of those kneepads in front of the engine (the kind you see on the cheap "exercising home gyms" money burners?)
it'd nullify the footpegs up front... but it'd certainly be something completely different :D

My vote is either a cast unit (new re-pro's start in the ~$40.00 range if brand isn't a sticking point) or a low back replacement for a utility tractor or commercial mower. Neither would be a bank breaker new, and would fit the theme nicely. And, having watched Kelly work in the past I'm highly certain he could horse trade into one or the other without having to work to hard for it.

Update:

While scrounging parts for my build-off project, I ran across something that simply must be added to my baby "the Sarge."

A nifty, old, military flashlight. Where's my army paint!

Thanks for looking.

To remind ya:

The build of "LOCO" was taken to the 2016 Build off area. See it here: http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=32850

I'll continue on here from time to time as Loco is the priority at the moment.

Update:

I knew those two were up to something out there.

Wachtmeiser and the Baroness that is...

I heard noises outside but nothing ever moved out there.

Yea, Until today.

Looks like someone got busy!

LOL!

Hey, I'm running out of room! I need space to do the train and I have nowhere else to go...

So...

Wachtmeister was cool but I just didn't like things... and the Baroness was simply a showpiece that honestly... would have never been driven.

Until now.

They had a baby. I like it.

This one is usable at least.

And a whole 4 inches longer than Sarge!

LOL!

On the other side of the coin, the police car (unit 51, a.k.a. Moving Violation got a few nifty additions too.

Sure, the turbines work on Baroness V3, but they work here too....

Never know what I'll next.

Thanks for lookin.
